Thanks for the update on your Dad Jim.
I know that there are a ton of people following this thread right now, and the power of prayer is indeed a powerful, wonderful thing.
Mom just talked with the doctor. They do have his temp down to about 100.2. They have him under a cooling blanket. Doctor is considering the last two days as a set back as dad is not following any commands to move any of his body parts. They are going to do another cat scan to check the brain swelling and see if it is going down at all and shifting back to normal. They won't know the culture results until later today. Although the doctor remains hopeful, he stated that there is a good chance that dad will not come back the same as before this all happened. We can only keep praying that he does. We definitely need the good lords help today to bring him back and bring him back as he was. Keep praying as we all are.
Dad suffered more set backs today. He started having seizures which the doctors said they didn't want to see, but said it is not uncommon in brain injury patients. They said they don't cause any damage and have started him on medication to prevent them. He about 6 of them from about 1 until 7. He is still not following any commands. The top part of his heart also went into afib, but has since went back to normal. We could really use a miracle right now to turn him around and start bringing him out of this. Thank you for all of the thoughts and prayers and please keep them coming.
Thank you for the update. It must be a difficult time for you and your family. We all care alot about him and hope everything turns out for the best.
Sincerely,
Peter Crowley
