Good news (sort of) Seattle racers

We took fuel from the Morris fuel dock down to Pineville and it tested WAY to the good side on the meter. It's lot bigger pain in the ass than my local Chevron station, but a hell of a lot cheaper than VP!

VP has one unleaded non-oxygenated 90-ish octane fuel on their web site: http://vpracingfuels.com/fuels_unleaded.asp MS93 about half way down

If Stock & Mod put in a requirement for Nationals & Divisionals & speed record course bids in the future to guarantee legal fuel is available within 20 miles of the site (as is the case with Millville NJ being right down the road from the airport) or take prepaid orders for a known good fuel like VP MS93 (as is being done with this summer's Nationals at Grasslake), I think the rest of our club races can continue on with the fuel of the day rule.

(If your local gas doesn't pass and you don't want to use AV gas at Millville, VP 's mid-Atlantic branch office is in Newark DE ... along the way for those of us coming up from the south.)

I checked with VP Fuels, MS93 is $55 and change for 5 gallons and they are very conveniently located just off of the I-95 DE 896 interchange ... could hardly be easier. They are open normal business hours.

If you are planning on buying some there on the 24th, call earlier in the week and place an order so they have enough in 5 gallon containers.

Have been reading all the posts. Everybody keeps saying additives to make you go fast but they dont tell you what the additives are. Please advise so we can keep up with going fast.

Trick or ERC 110 leaded blue. East Coast racers use VP. Local races mix pump gas with race gas 50/50 and Red Line 20/1 meter reading was around -30. Hint do not make more than 2 1/2 gals at a time. depends on how many classes you run. Late in day on Sunday maybe just a Gallon. Hot days 100% race gas.
We Calif racers have had pump gas problems for over 30 years.

Mike I have used MS93 with no issues for several years in our OMC A, Mercury A, Yamato 102, SST60, and SST120. I did prefer the VP Marine (101) in the SST60 though since it was a higher compression motor.

MS 93 works...

..and the pump gas down the street does, too! Luckily, its a non-ethanol gas. I usually shoot for the 87 octane. As a rule of thumb, I've learned that anything under 100 octane works like a charm for the Yamato 102/302's.
