Mike your a bald face liar and pathetic. Here's my EXACT wording.

BTW, I have had positive feedback from others who wholeheartedly agree with me, I knew doing this I was going to get flamed, but by the admin...that's just sad.

    Bill, get a life.

add- Bill Van Steenwyk was called out just like in the above post 4 years ago, I called him a liar then showed proof of it. Now Bill had been trolling me for 4 years...get over it Bill and get a life.

Wow, ok...Yeah everybody get a life....

This season NBRA breathes NEW LIFE into outboard stock and mod boat racing...

Check out the NBRA website, and have a look at the 2011 schedule...

Make the decision to fly NBRA this season.

Come on down, come on up, come on over. Find an NBRA race that's closest to you and make your summer trip to one of our races.

The NBRA vibe is good in 2011!

OK I have been quiet for way too long on this post, 1ST of all I congraulate Veron for all the effort he has put into this venture, I of all people KNOW exactly what he has gone thru and what he has done, and fortunaltly, Vernon did , so thanks a huge bunch Vern, Also, just a quick question for any naysayers here, do you honestly believe that Mark Martin used Viagra or Jeff Gordon really uses dupont paint,?? really?? they are compensated very well to race, Sponsors do this for them, and it has allyways bettered any sport to have a sponcer, Would your kids be able to play any sports, like t ball softball, of football, without a sponcer?? sure, but it would be an all together different game. So by having Vernon bringing, a major sponcer to our sport will and can only better what we Know as boat racing , if ya wanna play you have to be a player. I know in my heart that this sponsor will attract many more sponsors , and with this this will bring more racers to each race and with more racers you have more spectators, and more spectators bring more sponsors, geez a vicious circle, so I urge any and all boat racers to come to a NBRA event just to see what we do and how we do it. I promise that you will race , with some of the best racers in the U S and have the best time that youve ever had at a race, and just think, tow money and prize money MMMM cant beat that
          Jeff

This sponsorship agreement is great news! Things are really happening in the NBRA! Thank you Vernon for your efforts.
I will make an extra effort to attend an NBRA event this season. They all look like great venues. Right now my wife is twisting my arm to race at Branson... errr, Rockaway Beach. (She's in it for the shopping)
I'll be proud to paste an Ethanol decal on the side of my boat.

wh are you smoking up there in the Northwest Woods?

              Ricochetti112:

If your faulty memory is any indication of your take and knowledge on this issue, based on your past post references, the thread in question I referred to that you say was four years ago, was put up in October-2010 by Tomtall. More like 6 months than 4 years.

Just further evidence of your credibility. Just keep it up and you won't have ANY left.

                Region 7 Area

NBRA has a couple races in the APBA region 7 area.

                Centrallia IL
                Quincy IL.

Centrallia is a great race site. Great sponsors in place, it is a fun place. Brian Palmquist and Sam hemp from Region 7 APBA were on hand last year at this site and I have read where they enjoyed it here on Hydroracer. I also know The Shertz (Gene and Kevin ?) were at a race in Shelbyville one year and claimed to have fun. I was pitted next to them. Shelbyville was a GREAT place to race, the sponsor wanted more trailers to show up and it always seemed to fall short from any support from the APBA guys that lived pretty close. To bad, as it was a pretty good sponsor. That race could have grown for the Midwest as a premier event in kneelers. A National Sponosor is hard to come by now-a-days.

Quincy IL is rich in tradition and history for boat racing. Home of Quincy Welding, which produced the best racing engines of their time, and many, many improvemnts oer stock are being used today even. Gene East of Quincy Welding still lives there and can probably tell a few stories of the days on the river and in the shop.

                  Quincy, Il race

The race in Quincy, IL is probably the funnest on the schedule. The pits are located in the parking lot of the Twin Oaks Boat Club and it is held on their Booster Day. The water is always great, we have raced there my whole career and have never been blown out. It is one of, if not my favorite race of the year!!!!

                        One more thing

Forgot something in my post....I also have a Merc "Tower of Power" 115 inline 6 on a 17 foot Fiberform Waikiki....I ran ethenol gas in it several times last year with no problems. It might not have idled quite as good...but these things don't idle worth a dang anyway. At the end of the year I ran a little race fuel thru it and fogged the motor for the winter. Started it up last week.....ran fine with no problems. I think proper maintinence will take care of any issues with the ethenol.

I have run ethanol gas for years in my 1990 Merk 115 2-cycle without a problem. However, there are some reasonable steps you can take which seems like minimal race equipment maintenance. See the attached.

There is more variation than you may suspect. Obviously in a racing situation more alcohol is better. Will there be any attempt to measure the percentage of alcohol in the fuel/oil mix or will the only fuel criteria be the simple meter reading?

Will national events be run using this fuel. Just looking ahead to be prepared.
Has hints of a Pater run at the series?................
