Tundra builder's shop looks oddly familiar. I can't quite place it.

Mjr csh
Left side rear chine airtrap installed. One stringer laminated. I need MORE clamps, the story of a boat builders life.
Am I the only one who uses the boat as a table while building?"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state,

New MJR 125. The only change is that this boat will have a Lee Tietze tower and a C Mod motor on it. This is boat 4 and thats it for this year, Maybe. Lee says the new tower will save me 15LBS. That should make up for the winter fat!Mike - One of the Montana Boys

Re-store
No spectacular new build but too nice a boat to let go down..
The outside of the hull is pretty good so I stripped it & its got about 3 coats of West for a paint base. The inside had some 'door skin' luan that was de-laminating so thats torn out & replaced with Sapele. Planning only to do them turned into a full cockpit strip & West. 1st I eased all frame edges so I wouldnt get splintered then scrapin & sandin as much as I can stand at a time.
The coamings woulda been ok for a play boat, I want to race this so on the Starboard side I put 2 6" wide f-glass strips on the front & back of the center coaming support. These traverse 2 weak point seams then I laminated a piece of 1/8 ply over it. Im doing the same to the Port side without f-glass. The dash board bottom part was shot, thats new too.
Better than bending over but ya gotta watch the bean.
The darker stuff is new, you can sorta see the glass on the light piece.
This is a Bunky C &/or 20SSH... unless someone knows/advises me otherwise.. late '70s Id guess.Team Tower

Yep that's a bunky but with the lines I could almost be convinced it is a early Giles as well. The pointed nose with the hole in the center, the coaming side, the large exposed air-traps below the chines and the frames spacing. it looks like the cowling has been updated and the new dash added. both my bunky's had the long pointed cowl with the full dash.
Are both pickles pulled in tighter at the front than the rear or is an optical illusion from the pic. one of my d bunky's were 2" tighter at the tips. I figured it had to be done on purpose because they were even on both sides. Someone told me once that he did that to try and compress/force/channel the air coming into the leading edge and over the long cowling.
This is it when I first got it I have no pics of the other boat any longer. This was a fast boat until it got upset a few times and it now has quite the twist in it. It has to be shut down for the corners amost all the time and if you did not you would hook the chines are 40 degree and there is about 1.5 inch of expose air trap at the sponsons that a lot of hard edge catching water. When peanut had this boat there was a LONG adjustable turn fin that ran from the sponson transom to white access port in the deck. Yes Peanut owned this boat - LOL

In consideration that some boats run our local short courses full on the throttle & Im just learning to trust my old Bezoats to hang in there [it does] would a boat that you have to back out of compete there? It would have to be straight line fast of course & I dont mind slow-in a bit to turn.. but thats when the others speed away LoLs
Id like to convert it to a laydown, maybe its all wrong but at least I wouldnt be cutting off a nice origional cowl. If anyone thinks 'maybe' that knows hydro physics will advise, Ill post more pics & dimensions. ThanksTeam Tower

New 750CCR
Here is the latest Parker Robb Racing boat. Jimmy decidted he wanted to try a runabout. This is a huge change for us at Parker Robb Racing we have NEVER had a runabout. Jimmy can not wait to drive it. We went to Jason place today to get Jimmy fitted for the new boat. Jason's workmanship is out of this world.
