    • I am sure it is going in his new boat

I was asked what kind of engine is in the background. Very observant of you. It was the first engine with a completely cast steel V-block. Up to that time, blocks were cast with a separate crank case and separate cylinders. The same way V-8s are done today. The block has domed pistons, idles at 375rpm, 185 ft-#s of torque at 1,400 rpm at peaks at 4,600rpm. Also has the Predecessor to hydaulic lifters and has a roller cam. The engine is a Packard 12 (V-12). 473cubic inch. First designed in 1932, this one is for a 1937 car. Packard was the Rolls Royce of American back then. They also built the Rolls Royce Merlin Engine for Rolls Royce. Most air racers want a Packard up front.

Looks to me light its time to fit time in my schedule for another trip to Montana

I'll check the calendar and see what I can fit in. I'll make sure to bring the motor tools

I know I'm a little late to this party, but maybe you guys are still open to suggestion. Plus the winter is getting just long enough to stoke the fire of a little friendly competion.
With that said how about "Miss ByrneWeiser"
I know the Bernie Little comparison is kind of low hanging fruit, but that's exactly why I couldn't leave it alone.

                              • Taking a little twist out for the record runs this year. A little tweak here, a little shim there. Gonna look real nice at Lawrence for the 20th birthday of the Mighty Pav.. As Muncey used to say, "older is better".
