That is the bottom of our 20SSH boat we picked up from Dave Trisko. It had a crack in the transom plus quite a low spot which would have been just in front of the gearfoot. Dan has repaired the crack using kevlar plus carbon fiber and flattened the bottom out. Boat should be ready for testing shortly

          • I would monitor that repair on a regular basis if you used kevlar. Kevlar has a tough time adhearing to other surfaces. It often delaminates. This one reason why I oppose the manditory kevlar in pro cockpit sides.

Thanks for the heads up. First time using kevlar in a repair attempt. We'll definitely keep an eye on it

Thanks Spencer for the heads-up. Actually, only a small piece of kevlar was used between two pieces of carbon fiber utilizing Hysol. This repair was a small craze line at the combing wall/ deck interface. The nice thing is I was able to go right down to the original carbon fiber to start the repair.

                • Darneille 250/350 Hydro

Larry Darneille just built me a new 250/350 boat. I'm tall and heavy for a 250, so we went old school conventional. For more lift.

If it fails you can always rely on your piece of angle iron for a sturdy fix.

                            • Lee's boat

                              Lee,

Nice looking ride, it sure looks like you are going all Euro on us ! Post up some pics once you get it all rigged and painted. I always liked your paint schemes.

I am sure Darren is right, it will hold together for years, just like most all the boats out there. West is the best !
