You Know You Have Boat Racing On The Brain When...

You're at a stop light and you glance at the license plate of the car in front of you which begins with 61S and your immediate thought is "Mike Marshall".

Feel free to share your own "Boat Racing On The Brain" story in this thread. You know you have one...

Or you are in the left lane of that same car and realize that your license plate has 95-N on it and you've got the inside lane.

Miss you Mike you are by far my favorite fighter pilot.

      Boat racing on the brain

Ok, since we are talking about boat numbers. I saw this license
plate and saw my boat numbers in the last three digits. I thought "wow that's cool, I wonder what made the guy pick those numbers?" I finally figured it out when I turned the picture upside down!
I think I'm gonna change my boat numbers!

when you pass by a body of water and think "We could put the pits there, judge's stand there, first turn there......"

Every time I pass Mission Bay, D'anza Cove, where the launch ramp and parking lot is, and it's early morning, I see fast salt water with just a 2" ripple across it, thinking what a place for a 1 mile tri oval.......

My monitor wouldn’t turn upside down (cables too short). I had to spell it out on paper

Boat Racing on the brain when...it's 35 degrees out and all you can think about is testing on Lake Sammamish in January!

You know you have done a great thing passing down the love of racing to your children when,,,,,
Abby and Austin scream at the same time when they see a large body of water, look a boats race place!!!
                  or
when they see a motorhome pulling an enclosed trailer and they ask,
I wonder what boats race they are going to.

                    boat racing major

Comparative study of religion is usually shortened to CSR. I love telling people that CSR is my major. Even if they have no clue what I'm talking about, the mental joke is all worth it.

I find when driving on an X-way and when I see the exit numbers, they always relate to someone's race number to me & yes, when I see a body of water think- how can we get to use this or test on it! Hey Skoontz, where in the SD area do you live. I am staying here in the Clairemont area for a few weeks. I agree, Mission Bay looks great. Don't know how they squeeze in the U-boats on it!

I saw a lady the other day that had some 'odd' looking shoes on. Then my brain said "wait... those look kind of like a Krier runabout!"

                          Should I seek professional help?

When your "road rage" on the daily commute sounds like this:
" That was a chop!! Where's the call!!"
"Changing lanes in the shoot - come on Ref, you had to see that!"

But I did like Bill's observation the best. I always see a piece of water and go " that is close to being big enough - wonder how you get back there. Could we pit off the berm on the Interstate?"
