        Way to go !!!!!!!!!!!

Billy and Racer: You guys did great !!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to the two boat builders, Bob and Billy, the motor guy, Mike Cook and of course the worlds best prop builder Craig.

Big thanks to everyone from around the country that helped support these guys. We should all be proud of them.

SSOA has run Jetty starts for the last two seasons for the PRO classes at Bill's request. It sure paid off today. If you want to run well at the Worlds, you need to push to run Jetty starts in your Region.

Twisty and Dianne, Thanks for the updates, you made my weekend.

Thanks for all the well wishes!!!!!! Oliver Lucas took 1st and an Estonian named Rasmus in second, but the American driver stole the show!!!!! Driving in a "crazy boat" aka, kneel down, Billy drove hard enough to win 5 nationals. The crowd loved it and the world stood in awe as no one expected us to do so well. I don't think anyone understood the force of the storm Billy was riding on. We drive back to Gothenburg today to ship the boats and fly out Tuesday morning. We'll be bringing home a bronze medal!!! The starts were the hardest part as Billy was slow to plane off and the first two turns were spent making up lost ground. If we get a decent start off the jetty, we could have a good shot at the gold.

                              Race report from Nora

Here's the message from Per Benson to me regarding the Sunday portion race at Nora...

                              Hello Sir,

A 12 hour long race day. Delayed due to strong winds.
Starting with 1st briefing on Sunday at 9 am.
At 3 pm, we cancelled the race for the monohulls (who normally are handeling the waves best of all boats)
At 4 pm, the OOD gave up the possibility to do any racing.
At 4.30 pm, we started a short practice session
At 5 pm we got permission from the police to continue until 8 pm in the evening.
At 5 pm we started the 1st OSY heat of the day
At 6 pm we started the 2ng OSY heat of the day
At 7 pm we started the 3rd OSY heat of the day and final heat of the event
At 7.30 we did have a jury meeting, due to a protest
At 8 pm the post race scrutineering was done and all OK
At 8.30 pm we started the prize giving.

Billy Allan was doing extremly well and got the bronze medal.

Ancie Larsson was not racing today as she was not feeling well at all.
All racing on smooth and good racing water.
22 OSY boats together, that's real racing!
Overall for the whole weekend in OSY only one boat did roll over - and we got a wet driver nothing more.

                              Tell you more later!

                              Thanks for all your help.

                              Best racing regards
                              Per Benson

Billy and any interested racers, I have the complete spreadsheet with all times, points, for all heats, but unable to upload to hydroracer website.

Send me an e-mail request and I'll send it to you...it's interesting.

                              Congratulations Billy,
