Looks real good Kevin. I'm sure going to miss seeing you drive that B&N though. You always did a great job driving that roll up boat. Good luck with your new boat. (Not that you are going to need any luck. You're one of the best active drivers I know.)

BTW, Are you sure that your numbers are legal? The background looks kind of narrow up at the top left (top part of the Y).

David it is a little close. Linda cut out the numbers on her scrapbook machine. When I put them on I got a little close to the edge. We will bring some black and white tape with us it there is a problem. Not that big a deal.

          Kevin's new boat

Kevin the boat looks great, I can't wait to get mine. Should be some great E-runabout racing in the ODA this year with all the new boats and motors being built!!!!!!!!

Yeah I'll second that. Kelly is doing a very good job on the boats.

                Just to be clear...

Theres always room for learning. I pick something up everytime out on the water. When I stop learning I will stop playing. Now how about some more info/pics on the original thread- the Revolution DMR. Greg

No it is a slider. The best we could tell it weighed 157 with hardware.

So...just out of curiousity, what would be the projected delivery date of one of these if I were to pay in full this week?
                      Thanks.

                        issues issues take another pill!!!!

growing up at IOA boat races have just about seen it all, weights no weights , in the 60, s they cried the 150 lb man had an advantage over a 200 lb man.. so eventually they voted in the 490 lb weight minium ! and the 150 lb man still won so complained he cheated or he beared away lol if its not 1 thing its another

weight does not seem to be much of a factor look at bobby laws he weighs in at approx 550 lbs and still wins his share ..

i think the new no weight thing has aided in some record s being rewritten as the records had not been touched in a long time

i had to add 60 lbs back in the 80's to make weight and took a while to find out the best location for it after that it was all good

too light is not good , but in fact unless you weight 100 lb and race so light you cant keep it on the water then you will lose we know the other end of it as i mentioned bobby laws god love him hes my bro and he s 1 big man handles it well and Smokes on the water

i say leave the rule just as it is no weights in the class

Get your Chit together lets race , that what i am working on

                        gl hf lets race

not hardly i weigh in at 155 lbs and my rig with me in it weighs in at 460 lbs after the heat is run and done

what i see is history repeating its self all over again the big guy (you) wants weights bobby laws doesnt care hes just wants to race and he s a big guy too

its not what ya weigh its the total package motor, props, setup, boat, and driving skills: etc some got it some don't and some never figure it out

i guess cause my rig with me in it weigh' 460 i should cry cause some guys have a rig that weighs 400 lbs all it comes down to is either you can handle in the good and bad water or you cant set ups are the answer!!!

if you think you rig just runs with the same setup with all props you have a lot to learn

after all i saw george luce get behind in the 06 winter nationals and lose control and hit a bouy due to the hole the rollup boat left in front of him in 850 ccr (timmy Snider)

it comes down to this as i said before if you are too light and cant handle it in all water conditions you will lose ... (period ) and setups are all (as in every thing) too high you cant get o plane to low ur too slow

it is easy to find a few mile an hour when your 6 behind its hard to find the last 1 or 2 you need to be out front.. trust me on this as i have been there and am now slowly making my come back

as Doug shultz from NBRA says SHUT UP AND RACE

                            Peace Luv annnn Boat Racinnnnn

opps some 1 is now short of an N as i just used up my share and a couple of theirs lol

P.S. if you re going to Quote me Quote it all as those 2 sentences were just part of the point

                              weight

So... A new Luce style wood boat would weigh in at about 160lbs. An ElCohete carbon boat would weigh in at...? I just wonder what the weight advantage would be to driving one of these carbon boats.

Oops! I just went back and saw that it weighs 100lbs. Sorry, I missed that.
So, it would be about a 60lb advantage. I answered my own question. Like Randy points out, handling would be key in gaining an advantage at that lighter weight.

The only problem the new boats are having handling wise is above 80 mph and up. Yes they are going that fast! LB's make a difference. These are 850 speeds... we need weight in 750... no weight in 850. This would match the hydro class and no it would not hurt numbers.

Luce had a hole in his boat because he used too thin of material in the wrong spot.
