        Dave,
That is exactly my point. I know that the photo's and info are still there, but like you said, for how long. It would be nice to export all of that information over to the new site. It really can't be that difficult to do for someone that deals with this kind of thing. I for one don't have a clue that is why I have to pay someone to do it for me. I too liked the cover photo on the old site.

I will still stand by my statement..As for exporting from the old site you must have permission from that site owner who is not NBRA..And it was a know fact with the board members that the forum would be lost..

As for loading pictures folks have no idea how many times late at night after a new member has been approved for Hydroracer they then load porn or distastefull ads.. I think security for pictures on web hosting sites will get worse..

              Mike,
You may stand by your statement.. doesn't make it appropriate though, I was only asking a few questions, which you finally answered for me. Thank you.

Why not delete those accounts that load the porn and restrict those individuals that do this? Why should the majority that follow the rules be punished for the acts of a select few?

Knowing the forum would be lost was not common knowledge, my mistake I guess, I'm not a member of the board so...maybe we should have better communication going forward. As for posting pics, we can only post pics through you by mailing to you at our expense a cd, or email a small file to you to upload for us? The reason I'm concerned about this is that The Lone Star Outboard Association is working tirelessly to promote our race in Texas this fall and we plan to post literally a hundred pics or so to that end. If our only option is to make cd's and mail them to you it would break our already quite small bank account. I look forward to working with you to try to come up with a more cost effective and easier way to do this. Instead of continuing this on here please feel free to contact me by email ghmsynthetics@yahoo.com or phone 817-501-0319 thank you and I look forward to hearing from you to work out a solution.

Like Teresa said the picture issue she is still trying to come up with another system to post them but for the moment that is what we have..The pictures on the site were sent by Dan on CD and flash drive thingy..I know nothing about the computer stuff other then two finger peck.. At least the site is up and running with a lot less glitches than another site and is more to the liking of our sponsors..

I know what you are saying about being a small club and just getting started.. We are in the same pickle up here in Montana..We feel you pain..Something always comes up and it always requires MONEY..

Also you can always post pictures on the NBRA part of Hydroracer.. And we will take a ton of pictures at Centralia..If Teresa took 220 pictures at our test session then I think she will need more disc space at Nationals and we never took out the movie camera or Go Pro

                  Mike,
Thank you for your work on the new site, I'm sure it will be better going forward. I look forward to meeting up with you in the future.

                    Good sight

I think the sight is great . Easy to use. I like the look of NBRA and perhaps the east coast someday will be involved in an event. Thanks for the link. Shawn

as this is a new site , it will take a bit of time to get it right, be patient as I am sure that Theresa will get the job done. We approched her to do this and as time goes on the New website will get enhanced and get better, I got the link at 7 am this morning and it allready showed 1k plus hits, and hadnt even ben up 7 hrs, so please be patient for the time being, as many are looking. as far as the links go I am confident that they will get working also.

Advertising links seem to all be working now. My apologies for missing a couple of those during development. If anyone finds one that doesn't work, please let me know. Advertising links are important since that is where part of NBRA's funding comes from is sponsors.

A way to post the photos has been looked into and instructions posted along with some test photos in the photo section of the forum.

1257 visitors in the first 24 hours, I'd say that was pretty darn good.

                          Looks Good

I like the ease of use, and the rules are easy to find.

One suggestion, can we put somewhere in the rules section a little blurb that contains a list of the classes and the engines involved with each ? Stock & Mod counterparts. That is perhaps the most asked question I get from folks who want more info on the NBRA. Where does my stock engine fit ? If we just spelled it out on the website, it might be a good thing.

Thanks Teresa, it looks good. I am glad you accepted the position.

To me it sounds like something that should be added to the rule book if it is not already, which is on the web site..

Remember Teresa took this project on but she knows nothing about motors vs classes so she would need some help and I only pay attention to the specifics of the classes I run..Post what you want here and I am sure she could add it to the site

I am not sure of the NBRA procedure to make additions to the rule book. If the powers that be want to send me an email and let me know what they would like to post and where on the site it belongs adding it shouldn't be a problem technically speaking.

If it is an addition to the rule book then there are probably procedures that have to be followed. And I think those changes take place at the national meeting.

My suggestion would be that someone prepare what it is they would like to see posted, submit it to the appropriate committee or officer, then when it is approved I am sure the President or representative will notify me to add it.

We have to remember that this is not a personal website (or my personal website) and changes to it have to be approved by someone, somewhere. I am sure that you can understand that while I might be the techincal/design support, I am not the decision maker on content.

In the printed NBRA rule book, in the Technical Rules section on page (1) there is a complete listing of classes, engines authorized and weights by class. I don't know how to get that page into the web site but I'm sure some computer folks can do it. Jack
