I have a new Krier Runabout on order to run in Pro 250ccR. No photos yet, 'cause it's not built yet.

      Skippy,
You guys keep pumping the boats out over there, they look great! I might have to get in line and place an order one of these days.

That is the first time I have ever seen a folding table used for a jig.

Also, the keel is really different. How are you going to keep it square without having the end of the keel stem attached to the jig?

              Tim,

I attached the nose of the keel to the jig when I fit it and glued it to the frame. It does not show in the photos.

Folding table, well, I sent the plans to my brother, he and my dad cut out the parts, I flew out and assembled the frame. The table is what they put the jig on so I took a little more time to keep it square.

The design comes from a guy named Joe Price, a banker turned boat racer in the 60's. Joe built Price Crafts. I learned form him as well as Darrell Sorenson, and Craig Selvedge. Joe worked for Selvedge for a few years in the 70's. Mark Demaray ran some of Joes engines and props. That was back in the days of 30 ASR's and ASH's in Region 10.

We had one race where we limited the boats to 8 per heat because the course was a small triangle. We had 30 ASH's show up. That was fun!

              Take care.

                40 Or More

                Jeff,

"That was back in the days of 30 ASR's and ASH's in Region 10."

The first time I raced at Green Lake in Seattle, 1962, there was over 40 A Stock Hydros. All stock classes had eliminations.

                        Course

1 mile. Hugh Entrop was running back then and he needed a BIG course.

                            Hod

                            Carl,

Thanks. I love my dad. He has been there for me all my life. We are always thinking how we can kick butt. Not just in boat racing, but all areas of life. He will be 85 in February. He is a fighter. He would give me the shirt off of his back.

When I set the 15SSH 1-1/4 mile course record I named the boat after him, "Hods Rod".

I pray I can be for my children what he is to me.

Good to hear from you. What's been going on the last 17 years?

                            Jeff
                            No-R

PS. I better be carful, they might suck me back in.

You say no dirt, only water. Why did you only run a 1 mile course? You could have run a 10 or 20 mile course!
