Bill you need to get out more there has been quite a few 25XS's at the races I think there were 8 or 9 at Milleville last week same with the Summer race there.

Are you talking genuine Mercury 25's on Hydros? Or are you talking the "25ss" runabout class which is basically powered by the ol' reliable Yamatos? The most genuine Mercury 25s on hydros I've seen in Carolina was at Camden a few years back. I think there were 3, and every one was from Michigan. Did you see a bunch of Merc 25 hydros at Wilson, NC this year? I didn't.

I like the merc 25. I think it's *cute*, but a beginer should get a rig that he/she can run at every race against many boats in the class.

Yep Bill they were Merc 25's on hydros not the rice burners on runabouts. There wasnt many boats in any class at Wilson this year because of another race in the next region over.

Not only were there nine hydros with 25xs mercs but there were also runabouts with the same motor. This motor is far from dead on the east coast.

                        boat

Not sure if it is still available but Spencer Utman had a really nice hydro for sale. Can't remember if it was a 20 or a C.
Also, I ran across an XL Lifeline jacket today. It would need flack/impact added and reconditioning. Not sure how much that would cost to do, but I'll see if I can find out. I'll find out what the guy wants for the jacket.

Well if its a C then I would be interested the life jacket i only weigh about 150 so would that be too big if not let me know if he still has it.

150? Your gonna need some lead!
The jacket is in my possession, he left it here 2 years ago. I will get a price from him but I am not sure how well it would fit you.

Maybe the bigger larger jacket weights more so it'll take away from the lead I''ll have to use..
