Dick Odea's 700 hydro in the 80's named John Yale..
And to follow Kristi's note I was having a pretty good year till I flipped in winnona not because I became a better driver but had alot of help from
engine builders and a real super stock boat guy on long island helped with setting my boats bottom for better performance and at Winnona my crew
Lost one of my turning fins and at Nationals boat was not turning the same
we have corrected this and got back on track. So you see in the Pro's yes
we have some special drivers but boats and engines I believe are the main key. You need both !!! Stock outboard don't think for one Minuite that they are the same as the saying goes there is nothing stock about a stock outboard...

I haven't read any of the previous threads, but if your a bullrider I think a rollup C runabout would be right up your alley. I'll hook you up with a ride in one of those! The first one is in the straight and the second one is what you gotta do when you hit the turn. LOTTA FUN!Last edited by MGallagher; 05-28-2008, 07:00 AM.sigpic

Good job Matt, he'll certainly be a hydro driver now! 40 years and I'm still not going to race without my training wheels.John Runne

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.
True parity is one motor per class.
It's RACING, not just another boat ride!
NOT a representative of Racing Outboards LLC.
