It’s been three weeks since my accident. I’ve had a couple of surgeries and may have others in the future. My knees are still pretty sore and my arm, hand and shoulder have a lot of challenging/painful physical therapy ahead. Since I’ve been home, I’ve received lots of calls – thanks! Also, thank you for the sincere sentiment on the beach, upon returning from the hospital in Ohio, and the warm wishes on Hydroracer. Special thanks to the helpful people who were in the water with me.
With all that has happened and despite how nasty my arm looks, I’m bothered the truck that should be carrying my D stock for a potential 5-peat has left, without my equipment. The last stock nationals that I missed was 1995, and before that, 1985.
I am grateful to be able to rehab my hand and arm with daily physical therapy, with hoped recovery to 100% or close to it. I can’t express how much I want to race and play at the first nationals in Washington in my career. There are lots of titles for the taking, so be safe! This is the nationals and it is about the titlists, so try to keep your political agenda in your pocket.
Good luck to everyone, particularly the D hydro field! Give good race reports and have fun.
