I ran against Chris, I thought his boat was a Reveau. the name of his boat was Navy Flyer. The boat I was running was a open front Speedliner. My number was N-33, named Hustler. I bought it when I got out of the Marines in 1959. The boat had an interesting history. It belonged to a guy by the name of Bob Boerkel from Franklin Square. He ran it in DU from 1952 to 1956. Won every race he ever entered. The name of the boat was Ruhbarb. One of the unique items was that it had a Formica bottom, hot stuff in those days. I went to the races with Bob as pit crew, I was a teenager at that time.
