  • Motor Rack

Well got the clean up bug last weekend so I decided to build a new engine rack to hold the two cylinder engines. Now I have a way to roll them around in the garage. Hope you enjoy the photos. We have several boats and engine listed on our website aeroliner-boats.com that are 4sale. There are a couple freshly rebuilt/restored 20-H conversions and a Sid "J" with Mark 5 rebuilt. We also have a listing of repro and NOS parts listed. Also I am still looking for a "B" looper block and pistons.

    • Great looking stuff Alan. Here are a few of the pictures of the KF9 Fuel Tank and Fuel adapter. Also including pictures of a MK55H drive shaft with 30H splines. It was used on a "C" Alky deflector using a "D lower Unit. The "C" crank shaft out of this engine is also shown. They are both in very good usable condition.I want to sell or trade the crank and drive shaft if you know anyone interested. If not E bay or will cut the shaft for a Mod engine. I have more pictures and also a 1969 "B" Konig block assembly to move. Maybe a collector would be interested......Bob N-96

      • Boat Doctor Said I have MUMPS!

Going through Harry Brinkmans racing parts I found a box that had old Quincy engine parts. In the box was a "B" crankcase setup for MUMPS with both the 20-H variant and one for the KG-7. The case had a lower rod go through it that was fixed but I intend to do it over. I have a "B" Quincy block, pistons and pipes so I hope to make a running engine from the parts. Might try to make a KG-7 powerhead also. Hope you enjoy the photos.

        • Konig Foot Help

I have a Konig foot that was owned by B. Wilson that is stamped 12:15 B SPR that is completly disassembled. I hope to put the unit under a new "C" mod that Doug Kay is building for me but need a bit of help. It looks like I have most if not all parts for it. I was wondering if anyone has a parts manual and assembly instruction for the lower unit. It has a used set of 12:15 gear, a new set of 12:15 and a new set of 14:15 gears Most likely I will build it 12:15 as the case was stamped. Any help would be greatly appricated. You might check our web-site for things that we have forsale aeroliner-boats.com.

          • Latest update on C Aeroliner

We have completed the stretched version of the BU 1960's Speedliner. The boat really looks neat with the natural and red color scheme. We have put the boat on the scales yet but my quess is that it around 135 pounds with out hardware. It is cold here in Florida so when it warms up a bit I will try to move the boat outside for some better pictures. My shop is full of basket case engines so I have to move a bunch around first.

                • Hi Alan and David:

Nice work on the completed speedliner. Sure brings back fond memories of my youth and the many summers up here in Ontario, Canada on a small lake where the Speedliner like the one in your pics here, was king of the many regattas held in those heady days so long ago. I still intend to build a larger version of this speedliner before I call it a day (see sketch). Will keep in touch.

                  • Some more slides I found

The first two pictures are of Alan in 1962.
The first is testing the new Speedliner the second is at a race in Conn,
The last four are in 1965, I am testing the next to last M510 Speedliner built in St. Joseph before heading to 1000 Island Marathon.

I am working on our 6th 20H of the year, this one is giving me some trouble after going to gether in 8 hours to assemble the engine I can not get spark on the lower cyliner. Change wires, tested coil and chaged to a new coil, new points etc. I new it was going to good.

Well back to work, you can see some of our engines on our site www.aeroliner-boats.com
                    Happy Holiday's to all

                    • Intresting "B" crankcases

While unpacking some of the boxes of parts I bought from Harry Brinkman I found two intresting "B" Merc crankcase. I have no clue why they were made this way but it sort of looks like he was going to use four carbs and a new reed setup. Has anyone seen these before or have any ideas about them.

                        • Mod tower

Over the last few months we have been building a new TX444DK mod engine. We are now working on the tower/housing which will be based on the Brinkman leg. Hope to see the water in May with the engine.

Thanks for the pics and update. This is what keeps us alive. (not one "burled" nut or "twisted" slot on that tower..remarkable..TIC)

                              • A little off subject, but what colors were the Merc 30H's painted in. I only know of the sunset red. Were there any other colors? And were all the towers painted the off white?

Thanks for the help I will be restoring a 30 H shortly.
