  • Alan, I am surprised that you are able to produce these parts at these prices ... a true labor of love.

    • Have been involved with racing since 1955

      Hi Sam,
Well David and I enjoy the sport and really want to see the heritage continue. The parts help us restore our engines and allow the racers to continue to enjoy our sport. And yes every now and then we go for a ride. Still enjoy the thrill of running an old Merc at speed. Would also like to see what everyone needs and maybe produce the parts if there is interst. Right now we are looking at doing the thumb screws in 1/2 inch and 7/16th if there is demand for them.

        • B Looper block and pistons needed

I am restoring an A looper, FA88 and have most of the parts to build a B looper. I need a B block and pistons if someone would like to sell them. I could also trade a new set of A pistons if that is desirable to make the deal. Here are the photos of the parts I have. Also have a Carter model N and fuel pump for it thats not shown. Attached is a photo of the parts. My Email is apvw1@aol.com.

          Thanks,
          Alan

          • Old Style Cones

As David and I continue to add to our reproduction parts inventory we have decided to have a small run of the old style cone nuts made. These are the solid bronze bushing type. If anyone is intrested in them please let us know. We will be setting up a store on our web site soon. aeroliner-boats.com

                • D sloid cone nut

If you need a D cone we can do one for you. We were doing the A/B. All I would need is the thread length you want. This is important to keep the cone to housing gap correct.

                  • Speedliner to Sid Craft

Alan and I put a deposit on the the purchase of the Sid Craft plans and patterns and 6 boats and the rights to build these boats. Included in the purchase were the tools to make the Mark 20H conversion special gaskets and we will be offering those for sale on our web site. We are also making the A/B/C tail cones and prop shaft bearing carriers. We will be posting pictures as soon as we close the deal.

                    • New C/D boat

David and I have just about completed building a new C/D boat from plans and patterns we obtained from Speedliner way back in 1965. This boat is a streatched A/B model M510 that now is 11ft 8 in. The boat has a 3/8 inch bottom and a couple other minor changes. We will post completed photos after it is varnished and it has the hardware installed. We have been building the A/B verson for over 40 years and now that were both a bit heavier a larger boat was needed. Also were comming along well with the D drive shafts which should be available in about 4 weeks if all goes well. Our other parts will follow after the drive shafts. aeroliner-boats.com for more info.

                      • When we decided to produce the D drive shafts we had some made with 5 inches of spline that will allow the MOD folks to cut them to length without having to use a coupler. We also had some made in the Q length for the restoration engines that need them.

                        • To B or not to B

David finished a couple B Merc restorations and thought I waould post a photo. There are three numbers matching 20-H engines. The classic green and gold, a conversion in true conversion colors and the last a Quincy modified 20-H. All the engines are mechanically correct and run great. We also obtained an A quincy that was owned by the same guy that owned the A/B Sid shown on our wibsite. aeroliner-boats.com. There is also a photo of our latest D Speedliner. Hope to finish it in the next few weeks.
