Both cockpit sides are cut out....wet laid carbon fiber on 6 mil okume and bonded it to aluminum core honeycomb.....super strong. Boat is in jig with motor board installed, all gussets (honeycomb) are installed, now working on sponson formers. Will take some pics Saturday and load them on here. So far pretty happy with things. 3 US

We started to build two new J Stock Hydros for Region 10 with the support of the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum in conjunction with Seattle Outboard Association. Thanks to Don & Jerry Kelson for the use of there shop and to Ed Karlesen for his outboard knowledge. Last weekend we cut out the kits with the help of people who have build boats through the program previously.

Saturday was the first day of the build that started with a stack of wood and was ended after getting attaching the sponsons. A few people will be working on the boats this Friday (better option then going shopping) and should be varnishing the inside on Saturday.

These are the same kits that we built 5 boats from last year and the other change is using Okoume instead of Meranti.

Well just finished test fit of deck pieces.. Time to remove and finish coating the inside since temps are suppose to get to 40 by Sunday
