I just now spoke(Tues 18 Feb 8:03 CST)with the folks at the Amoco station at 797 E Cherry St in Jesup, GA confirming that they stock both what they said was regular and premium grades of gas that are ethonol free. The phone number there is (912) 427-4430. Jack

This is a simple website that lists non-ethanol gas stations in every state in the USA. Georgia has over 200 stations. Two are listed in Jesup. Amoco 912-427-4430 and Manning's Grocery 912-427-9845 (87 0ctane only at this one). Good luck and remember 'buyer beware'. Make sure you call these places and talk to someone who at least sounds like they know what they are talking about and verify the 'grades' of fuel they carry!
Coming the way you will be coming i imagine there are plenty of them along the way.

Thanks Matt. I've contacted the Amoco station in Jesup and they say that they have ethonol free gas. I got their number etc from the web site that you mentioned. However Bob says there is none available in Jesup at least where they have checked.
Think APBA needs to re-evaluate the fuel rules. It's getting too hard to do. Jack

Always be sure
I know for sure I won't be depending on any gas in Jesup passing the meter except the airport avgas. I would not drive the 75 miles I have to and plan on buying gas there. Better be safe than sorry, don't complain or say a word if you get kicked out for bad gas. We checked the Amoco station last year and it did not pass the meter. They can have ethonol free gas now but if the tank is contaminated with ethonol gas from the past do you want to take a chance on it passing. Not me! But You and Matt can and we will see how it turns out.

Bob, I'm not saying you are wrong. I simply ask if the Amoco station was one that you have checked. Have you ever attempted to buy av gas at the airport south of Jesup (Jesup Wayne County)? Some airports won't sell to non flyers. Just trying to get things worked out. JackLast edited by Jack Stotts; 02-19-2014, 08:14 PM.

Classes
Daren
We don't usually have any DSH's in our region but some may come from up north. We have plenty of 500mh, 750mh and 850mh's and all the same good classes of RUNABOUTS, the fun class. We r looking forward to seeing a big turnout from the left coast!
Bring the DSH and we will get some to turn out from the east coast!

av gas
Jack we can buy avgas at Jesup airport. Its a credit card pump open 24 hrs a day on the runway, you can drive up to the pump, just be careful to avoid the planes coming in. This is south GA and they are very friendly. Lets keep it that way and stay low key and be safe.
I can't av gas buy it here in Savannah unless it's pumped directly in a airplane! but I can buy ethonol free gas here at the marinas. Make it easy on your self and bring your own gas that you know is good.
