If you are thinking about coming to Mt. Home, you will want to search 'buzz on pigeon creek' photo gallery. There a number of photos of last year races. One photo is of the judge's stand with the digital clock that we use, showing the use of the IPad for a video start. You can find other videos taken about last years race on search.

We will get things in order and this will be a good race! We would love to see the crowd from the upper Midwest and Northeast show with ABPA going to the NW. Listings of accommodations and other details will be up soon. Rainout like we had at the OBRA race are a very rare August occasion and we have lots of local support.

Registration will be at the Ramada Inn which is HQ and where NBRA officials will be housed and we will be much more organized than we were last year. 2013 was all about our local staff as a preparation for 2014. We put about 2,200 through the gate that Saturday and the crowd should be good as the area will support it solidly.

We hope to have one of the most organized events you have competed in pending we get all the cooperation on the details. Staging to weighin we want this to be good.

Accommodations with parking for RV's is planned on the far end and will be marked off. We would like to know how many RV's to expect. Pits will be moved further down the bank to allow up to three stages of pit lanes. By NBRA choice pits will be first come and first served. They will be numbered also.

We will get a tentative map up of the longer course soon which will not be exactly to specs.

Our only obstacle is high water if the lake rose this spring and was unable to get below an estimated 565 feet of elevation. It presently is 555 and was appx. 548 last summer.

Details to follow and we hope you set your planners to be here in August.

        Rick Pierce

If a person were driving a large motorhome and towing a race trailer is registration within walking distance?? (Ramada Inn) Is there a chance the race may not happen due to water levels??

We would know in May if water were a problem. It has ony been that high twice in the last 50 years in August, so odds are not high.

The motel is in Mountain Home and the local area requested an initial registration in town to allow residents and tourists to see the rigs coming through town as they arrive. Final race registration will then move to the lake once the activities move there for race day. They are planning to build enthusiasm for a big weekend crowd.

There will be plenty of access to Mountain Home if you need it.

Thank you for the answers.. One last question, how far will the RV's be from the pit area?

I would also like to add that I doubt many APBA folks can squeeze in the NBRA race when it ends the 3rd of August and APBA in Moses Lake will start the 4 of August.. Even if a person drove all night they would not make it but it is a closer option for some that don't want to go all that distance

The main RV area is flat and paved just past the pits. It will be a few hundred feet walk from pits to RV area for main paved parking. There are other parking areas that will be adjacent to some pit lanes. There should be four designated pit areas which are separated by very small drians or pockets that won't work for pits.

We will get an overhead image, with a drawing and layout, posted which shows RV's, pits, starting area, weighin and spectator viewing area.

We do know some are planning on racing both venues and it is a tight schedule.

We are not sure when mod. Drivers need to be in Mosses Lake. If they do not require them to be there till Wed. Evening, they could get allot of mod drivers. We will run some classes off on Sat. And thus you would get an exter day to drive. If you plan to make both order large volumes of coffee.

The race course is a couple of miles North of Mountain Home. Leave Mountain Home on highway 201. The road passes over an arm of the lake. After going over the lake, turn right at the first road. It's a park entrance. The lake is Norfolk Lake
