Really sorry about the event. I know how hard it is to put on a Nationals. As far as rescheduling. Cannot do it!!! the Stock/Mod Nationals for 2013 is over.

So sorry to hear this news - so much disappointment. I'm sure rain won't be an issue for next year in the desert of Central Washington. Travel safe everyone

It's official. The remaining racing has been cancelled due to the condition of the area.

Wow, that flooding is nuts. Was there on Thursday, thankfully the weather held at least then. Definitely unfortunate.

              Pit conditions

After breakfast...a few of us went back to the pit area to check things out....the staging area that we used to load trailers was underwater....access to the pits was not allowed...what a mess. I fee so bad for the people that spent a ton of money to get here only to not run. The race committee did have a trophy presentation at 5 o'clock in the registration building. Dave

Sorry for the outcome... I built a new bar-mount tank to be given away
for the BSR class.. I don't know if Cooper made that announcement or not or how he planned for the winner... It will still be given away to one of the 12 finalists in
that class. When Cooper gets back,,, we will decide on some sort of drawing..
The winner will get the tank shipped to them freight free.. And to add a little
bonus,,, if the winner wants to,, I will have it powder coated gloss black..

I would like to personally THANK everyone who got up and worked all night to save so many trailers and equipment. It makes me so happy and proud to be part of such a wonderful and loving group of people. "THANK YOU ALL" WILD BILL 96-D

                    Trailers

I want to second what wild Bill just posted...when we got the phone call in our room at 4 am or so.....first thought was that stuff was ruined and boats were floating away into the dam.....not the case. Rushed up there, and all of our equipment...trailer, boats, you name it was hauled up to dry land. What a relief! It does make me feel good that I am part of such a wonderful group....again, thank you so much to all the people that worked their butts off in total darkness to get job done. Dave

Heard a rumer the Stock Commision is meeting by phone on Sunday to see if the finals could be run at Dayron OH here in a few weeks. Ed Hearn has given his vote of approval to run it on Saturday there if possible. Keep your hopes up!!!

                        Hosting Division

The SORA and DVORA hosting clubs have requested the right of first refusal to host the remaining classes in the division that was awarded the National Championships.

We have an opportunity at Lock Haven Labor Day weekend and Crystal Lake Sept 14 and 15 along with the Fishers Landing Racing Club to host. The decision is upto the commissions now.

Let it go people. The idea is unfair to the west coast qualifiers. I hope those who drove 3000 miles home and can't return fight and fight hard on this one. It is self serving for those who can easily attend.

All of us wish those championships could somehow be salvaged, however when you really think about it, 14-J in my opinion is 100% correct. Some of those people drove 6,000 miles.

I think you could put all the classes in a hat. Have a drawing for 50% of the classes on the east and 50% on the west. Just luck of the draw if your class comes up near you. Fair for everyone. We all have a 50/50 chance to run there class. WILD BILL ( JUST A THOUGHT )

                                Nationals

I am going to vote to NOT have any more nationals races this year. I do understand that people that did not get to run, including the biggest 2 classes in the stock catagory, 20SSH and CSH, are going to be very disapointed that they did not get the chance at US 1...and trust me, there is nobody in the pits that feels any worse about the situation then I do....but..it is totaly unfair to those of us on the west coast that can't afford to make a second trip to the midwest or the east coast to complete nationals. If for whatever reason the nationals were to got blown off next year at Moses Lake (wind rarely blows there in August) I would feel the same way. I want to be amongst the first commissioners to let my view be know and how I am going to vote. Respectfully, David Anderson
