As of this morning, the "J" category has not made any changes in the rule. The 1" radius with a 3/4" thickness is still in effect for the J and AX hydros.
Stock Outboard only, at this time , has postponed the effective date to Nov. 1, 2013.

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.
Here are the minutes from the J meeting on the pickle fork rule. If you look under rule 3.21.A.1,2 & 3 it states in 3 that the UIM rule is accepted as part of the change. You have to look for grey areas....lol
“To adopt the current wording and diagram of the MO / PRO category rule for pickle tip dimensions (found in Safety Rules for Stock, Modified, and Pro - Safety Rule 3.21.A.1, .2, & .3, deleting the MO & PRO year exemption and adding that “all boats must comply”

minimum radius of 1” in one view. This minimum radius shall extend at least 45
degrees to both sides of the foremost p
oint. At 90 degrees to this radius conforming
view, the foremost points on the picklefork will have a minimum thickness of 3⁄4”.

point.
