      Lower units

      Dave

APBA OSY-400 lower unit specs are the same as Stock CSH at this time.

UIM OSY-400 has specs on units

APBA new 302SSH has specs on units

This is why people are calling me on THIS ????????

        Page 278, Specifically Rule #25.

If one of the goals is to have a 302ssH be a legal UIM OSY, then you'll have to rethink the rules of 302ssH as written.

        I like Rule #8 too...

          302 ssh?

          To heck with it.
I'm going to buy the midget (alky injected Chevy 2 power) instead of the boat, motor ,safety gear, trailer and APBA fees and run with the vintage guys.
It may cost a (very) little more up front, but at least I can use all the safety gear I already own. At least 20 races a year within Florida, too.
Someone needs to go back into the school building and find the playground monitor!
Do you guys all REALLY hate each other as much as it seems?
Goodbye from Bob, no longer a potential newbie.

            Hold Up

            Bob,
Just sent you a PM. Don't let the "discussion" on hydroracer get to you... a lot of things can be said on this site and are said with no thoughts to new/potential racers reading them... usually from people that preach growth too.

Give me a call if you'd like.

Yea, I could use a rookie to beat up on (teach).
All of the rest of the racing clubs I have belonged to call this "discussion".
Good group though, bit touched, not so much as you would notice.

                rules

                Gentlemen,
Please do not jump to conclusions on rumors and hearsay spread on this website.
As soon as our committee has completed the rules they will be posted online next week.
At that time the rules and the class are official. I will post again when they are completed.
                Thank you,
                Jeff Brewster
                Stock Outboard Chairman

p.s. if you have questions, please email me through this site for the correct answers.

                  old Guys view

when all the dust settles and you can see the class and its rules then we can have a good disscusion about it. I ran back in the day when 25 came out and there were plenty of bumps in the road but we got through them. the same will happen here. Hoosier, Bob, and any other newbies this class is one I will be running too. I look forward to some close racing and good old stock outboard racing So count me in along with Deck racing.
I belive what and old mentor said to me the secret formula to success is

                  E=R (EFFORT= Results)

I'll suit up and show up hope you will to

                  regards Dan

I want to back up what Jeff Brewster just posted....everybody relax and take a deep breath and let the committee do it's job....we have had some very good phone meetings as well as uncounted phone calls between Jeff and myself over the past several months....and things are coming together great. the class will not be all things to all people...that is just not possible..we are doing the very best that we are capable of doing to meet the original goals of this class....which I am not going to re-state here. I do want to thank all of the people that have made suggestions, both positive and negative...trust me both Jeff, myself, and the rest of the committee have read every single one of them....and have used some of them to improve this class. And...everybody should take the time to thank Jeff Brewster...without him doing the dirtywork on this thing it would not happen. Dave (aka 9US)
