What I have made so far is an adapter plate for an OMC 22 cu' to a 20H Quickie Tower. Couplers will follow soon.
Then I will make an adapter for an OMC 31 cu' to a Merc 44 Tower, they line up really well. It will also be drilled to fit a Mark 55H Tower.
I sure do hope this will work for you guys.
    Alan Brown.

When run'n this tower(or the 25SS tower) I would recommend using Brown's Yamato transum-kick-out bracket........Drill and bolt the nylon shoe to the front af cavitation bracket...........takes the stress out of these cast towers.....Had one fail at lower swivle bush'n in 25MOD at 2005 Mod Nationals with Joel Weigle drive'n >Lost gearfoot/prop .....and several cracks at exhaust relief on 25SS towers.>>>> https://hydroracer.net/forums/showpos...7&postcount=29

while the Mathews boys(and I love em to death!!),run that 31 inch omc motor in 25 mod in NBRA it is NOT a legal motor for that class. Go to racenbra.net for rules and class structure.

            This will also mount the 22 OMC on a KG/KF-green tank fish'n tower for B-1 BOMBER................or a SMOKE'n "Lake Racer" on a Mark-20/25 tower!

Any update on these?...............Still interested............How's you recovery going Mr Brown?

PS....Alan, There may also be interest in an adapter for the Merc 22 cube 25SS powerhead to the XS tower!...I think Mark Wheeler runs that set up.....The old 25SS towers are tall and prone to crack'n at the exhaust relief....I run a 25ss tower under my 22 OMC and have to use your Yamato transum bracket! https://hydroracer.net/forums/showpos...7&postcount=29

PS.....Also, Did you include the 25ss bolt patern to your 22 OMC/"H" adapter plates?.....25ss towers work (With your Yamato transum bracket)

                    Adapter Plates and Couplers

What I have made so far is an adapter plate and coupler for an OMC 22 cu' to a 20H Quickie Tower. They fit together really well. There are plenty of those towers out there and I had thought this is just what you guys wanted. Looking at that stack of adapters for the last few months it looks like I was mistaken.
Before I go any further I want to know exactly what is needed, not what one guy wants because he has a tower and power head he wants to put together.
This is the time to make plans for next season. So please let me know what combinations are best to get some classes rolling. Your input is much appreciated.
                    Alan.

                        Original 25SS

                        Steve:

I posted a sheet of contact prints at BRF that has a shot of Craig Dewald's OMC 25SS about 1975. Made Mercury pretty mad.

When I asked Craig how much work it took he just smiled and said all I will say is the cc's are 15. I found a new block and case at auction late that summer but it was illegal bthe next spring.

                            Just to clarify;
I had a call and discussion with Bill Kropog this am....He was relay'n info from Carl Staron..
The B-1 Bomber class will use the 22 CI OMC and 22 CI Merciry powerheads in total stock form only....factory seals not required at this time but....
The stock fishing towers/foots are legal and the KG series Merc towers are legal (the Merc towers-KG4/7, Wizards and KF "Lighting" towers/foots are legal and will probably prove to be prefered.)
Nose cones on gearfoots are legal.
Alan brown has 22 OMC powerhead to merc tower adapter plates avail and soon to have driveshaft spline adapters......I do not know at this time if a driveshaft spline adapter/exstension is needed for the 22 Merc(Mark 28/Merc 200-"Super Hurricanes") to the KG fish'n series towers?

We would like to see if enough interest would be there to include this class at the Aprill 27+28th AOF race at Moss Point, Miss...(TOW money to be avail per the sanction!!)...I plan to be there with a 22 OMC on a WG-7 Wizard tower to compete in this event.........OTHERS??
Should be a FUN, IN-exspensive class to build/run!!

                            SEEE YAAAA......In my WAKE!!

                            PS- 74,000+ views??......REALLY?.....WOW!!
