Finally a low cost,reliable, easy to build/have built,.... "grass roots" (JUNKYARD) motor.

Granted.....this class/motor is not for everyone........Ya gott'a build it and it's already ...."old" and ugly (like me).......but for the next 5-10 years?......should be a ton of FUN!!!! (LIKE...ME!!!!)

Had a long talk with Carl dis morn'n......sounds like you can make/epoxy on a nose cone to the stock fish'n foot and run water to stock copper tube to powerhead.
No height rule so far......and Carl hates rules as much as I do!.......Keep it simple,...keep it FUN!

Any nose cones avail Ron Hill?

Also a KG-7/KG-4/Lightning K-type (and Wizards').... tower/foot can be used with nose cone and powerhead adater plate......I have a 22 OMC powerhead adater plate I got from Dick Duncan a while back to fit Merc 20H tower and will see if I can git it copied (Ron Hill?) when I git back North to my warehouse.....TOO much snow for dat trip now......................

Sounds like some of the AOF guys from Loisiana, TX, MS, and Arkansas area will be running this class at the AOF race in Pineville, LA in April. What a great idea. Grass roots fun.

B1 Bomber Nose Cone...

My brother wants to know why we called this class B1 Bomber? He says the B1 Bomber "SUCKED"...He thought B 17 bomber made more sense....

I said, "Since when do boat racers make sense?"...

Working on my Nose Cone for aB1 Bomber...HillMarine.com has many nose cones...some are actually for sale.... We do make Bravo Three Propellers that go fast and sell like hell!... Also, we make VOLVO DUAL props, F3, F4 and F5 only...

Anyway...I think this cone might work pretty well with a bottom water pick up!

Got three KG "Lightning" Merctowers with 9/16" prop shaft so I can use current props.... from home to start add'n nose cone(s)...and 22-OMC to Merc tower, powerhead adapter from Dick Duncan....Will post pics as it go's......100N

So Whats going on with this class..yall making progress?? I've been wanting to get involved in boat racing for sometime but i work offshore and have no set schedule so looking for something local...I live on Toledo Bend.. Texas / Lousiana border so looking for something down south. Is there a set schedule for these races yet, or somewhere i could come check them out. How did the test runs go in pineville, La? Anymore info would be great gonna posted this on the other site but still waiting on my activation to be approved.

(Carl is not on line and usually, communicates through Connie)....I have ta give him a call myself today cause I met a Cajon chef last night at Lake James, North Carolina who was doing a craw fish boil for the Bear Creek Marina were we're ta have a race Oct 21-23rd.......Never ate craw till last night....WOW!.....Tear the tail off, sqeeze the body and suck.......Then bite+pull the meat out'a da tail!!!!!!.....WoW!......I told him (The cook brought me large container of left overs from the boil with corn-on-cobe and taters cook'd with the craw?).............WOW,WOW,WOW!!!!......GOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOD!

Anywho,I told him about the Pineville race and the Texas Race Dennis 21Z is host'n and got his contact info,....... If Ya'll would be interest'd in him doing a crawfish boil..concession?........He travels all over from Shreeve Port(?) doing these boils and other custom dishes.....cajon/Loiusianna style.
Will post his contact info if I can find it in my APBA jacket from last night.

PS I have all the pieces to assemble my new motor to this class....JUST NEED TA FIND TIME!.......Will post pics as assemble progresses......All Bought on E-Bay (Except the powerhead adapter plate to the KG-Hurricane 10HP tower).....Dick Duncan from Mechanicsburg(?),Pa. has a connection with Dave Young(?) to build these adapter plates......Will get estimate (?) for those who want ta use this tower instead'a the OMC tower.....I will have both towers built and hope ta offer a few complete less your powerhead......IF I CAN FIND TIME!....Gott'a git retired from the US Post Office so I can build/play with this class!......100N/STEVE FRENCH...............

Looks good if ya can shrink/remake da mold a li'l smaller?....whole lot'a widdle'n and aluminum dust to breath before epoxy dat one?......heard that aluminim is not good breath'n?...LOL
Hey once one mold'd a little closer....I want a couple.......even if class does not take flight.....there will be a demand/service for these ta hop up a few 10-30hp fish'n rigs!......Does that make sence?..............uhhhhhh-O!
