    • I have a piece 38"x4' or 5' x 1/2" thick. also some left over decking (1/8" thick) in odd shapes. I can probably get Hunter Grimes to pick up some time and save the hassle of shipping across the border.

                      • Bill I thinkk the BSH/AMH is the only boat Sam builds without the step, dont know why no step maybe Sam can answer why.

What class is the boat for George? BSH? We don't run that at all out here on the left coast. I have been restoring a vintage 1967 Aloha camp trailer.....so have not started working on race stuff yet...just looked at the calender...we are going to the winter nationals in 6 weeks...I think I better get going on repairing damage on my DSH rig from last year...maybe I will post pics and get ideas from people. Dave...also known as 13 U.S.

                            • George, what kind of plywood are you using? it looks kind of dark and the grain is going across rather than lengthwise.

                              • The plywood is ROTARY SAPELE which is darker with more grain then the Rotary Okoume and more expensive, adds about 150.00 to the cost of the boat. Harbor Sales was out of most of the size Okoume that I needed and wouldnt have it for a couple months. It is a little heavier then the Okoume but also stronger so you can use a little thinner wood. The grain does run cross ways and is stronger that way but does have to be joined of course. I have run the grain the other way and ended up with stress cracks in the outer plys on the bottoms. Alot of flex with a 5mm bottom on a AMH boat, and I use 4mm on the ASH boats.
