    Just wondering since the cockpit side is cut down for a kneeler. You will like the laydown but it will take some getting use to. You feel like you should be doing more in the corners but you are just along for the ride. HEHE

      I asked Drew to leave it at the same hight as the old side and by the time I thought to tell him to run it through without the cut out it was to late ...duh .

      I will run the hand throttle inside and not on the cut out now .

      I saw from pic,s the spray from the side fine was hitting the chine pretty hard in the turns to so Drew moved it out so it should help on the turns .

                  Steve;

                  I don't think the 850 will make any more noise than the 500, just different ! I can only hope to have it by testing time ! Looks like end of Feb. at the earliest, then have to go to California and pick it up ! Then I need to slap some paint on it, NO Mike, not GREEN ! Most likely will be Slate gray (gotta match the tow rig!), blue and nat. wood !

                        John you should of did what I did instead of moving up to the bigger class and learning how to use a tow rope. I went on a diet. Makes the doctor happy and the C mod boat happy. Have lost 15 pounds since a week before Thanksgiving. I hope to be around 175 by testing time. That is my dream. I am at 198 now.

                        Whos 850 are you getting, Mr Powells?? As far as noise if it has the strait mega phones they are a lot louder.

                          Mike;

                          I would have, but 850 MOD is a class I ran back when it was FEH (late 70's) and I like the ride of a bigger boat ! The 500 was a hoot and that boat was a great ride, but I just want to get back to the bigger boats (A good 850 boat should'nt break either !). Don't worry, I still hope to travel to a couple of your races this summer if I can !

                          My wife is having some problems with her Cancer, so any plans I make are going to be written in erasable ink !

                              Cheyney;

                              You counting the blow over as on the rope ! You got a ride in the rescue boat ! Wish I had a camera when you tried to "launch" , you did that right in front of Bill Dingman and I sitting in the second turn patrol boats ! Mine back in the "old" days was pretty reliable too, very rarely got a tow in !

                              Well, I am hoping to get the boat in Feb., will try to get some "belly" time in it before the season starts ! When do you get your new Beast ?

                                Mike;

                                Garlands has the pulse tuned pipe, has the same sound as Cheyney's I would think, just exits out the side and not the top ! Hope it is not as loud as a Quincy Looper 6, OMG, those will wake the dead for miles around, but what a sound !
