Ive got no real vintage race motors unless a 102 stock counts. Got a couple MK 25s, 1 stock 1 modified [powerheads] & 1 AB-H lower for them. Ive got a Merc 250, 25hp of old that fits the H bolt pattern but needs a drive shaft lengthened about 3/4". All someday stuff & a growing collection of 'backyard tech' RaT motors.

Scince this seems to be turning into a wish list:
The only motor I really want to have and keep forever in my garage is a Crescent (Super C)
Thats it. That is the only motor that has grabbed me through the years and wont let go....

Vintage Race Motors
Well, I normally don’t say much about my collection, but since I’d like to sell much of it here’s some of what's there. 150 vintage racing engines and about 30 racing boats; boats date back to 1947, the motors back to the ‘30s. Included are about 15 - kg4s H and Q; 15 - kg7s H & Q; 25 - Mk20Hs; couple of KG9Hs; Mk40H with many aftermarket upgrades; 6 - 30Hs; 6 - 55Hs and H-1s; 6 - 25SSs; 5 – 25XSs; 5 – 402/35XSs; some 25 mods; a Mk75 mod on Bayer tower and lower unit with extra powerhead; 2 – 60Js; a Green Hornet; Martin Silver Streak; Chrysler C mod; Johnson SR55; Joe Schultz’s winning PR65; Evinrude 3-holer; KG7 Jones O’Day Redhead; most of the Hot Rod line of course (we still produce all the parts for the Hot Rods); 2 – Yamato 80s, 4 or 5 102s; 1 – 202; the only Yamato 303 in the states (was designed by Yamato to compete with the merc 35XS in D stock); 4 or 5 stock and alky converted SpeediTwins including one of Shakeshaft’s; A, B, and F loopers (F was first owned by Johnnie Cash’s bass player verified by Paul Christner); an assortment of old konig and yamato alky engines (sold much of the konig stuff to German buyers including Yvonne Koenig’s dad); an assortment of 40 and 44 ci mod powerheads both stock and squish blocks; tons of parts to assemble more; 1 Jones 2.5 inboard. I’m sure there’s more I’m not thinking of; I work an unGodly number of hours between the Sidewinder company and my other company and haven’t even been up in the shop in weeks so its hard to think of everything. Most are restored, many of the 2 cylinder merc’s were restored by George Stillwill. All motors are from the north country; no salt. I’m sorry that I don’t have time to break down motors and prepare them for shipping, but if anyone is interested in making a group purchase onsite let me know. “Racer delivery” also could work sometimes. I bought all this 10 – 12 years ago when good unwelded motors were still available. rselewach@hrmc.com or rselewach@racingoutboards.com; be sure to put “Outboard Motors” in the subject line so the spam filters won’t trap it."Its never too late for a good childhood"

One of my first racing motors, when I was a kid in the 50's was an alcohol burning Chris Craft B. I now own a 20 c.i. Chris Craft Commander and someday I plan on replicating that original motor. I also have a 60-J that I bought new when my kids were kids, and a couple of Konig FA's. I am still racing what some might considered to be a classic: a 1983 500cc Konig.

Ran in New England in the 70's . The first C Cresent race was at southberry Conn. John Yale won the race I got second and I believe Bill Giles was Third.
Great engine that Dick Odea imported.
They still race them at Oltonbroad in the UK.
