                99-j

Did Joe and others have a race team called the nasty nine gang? I have a memory of some guys from New Jersey who all had 9's in their racing number. I remember thinking it was a great name for a racing team. Others that come to mind are Wild Ones (Brinkman), F Troop (Miller), Hustler and Hard Roller. (Don't remember who this team was), Team AARP (Marshall, Stotts, and Schmidt).

That's too easy Laurie. Who was 65-J back in the day? That's a little curve ball for ya! I'll give you a clue, he was 5-J first. How about 50-J?

I don't know, but they never got in the tent with me!

There was only one "J" boat of any relevance... 97-J the "Thud and Blunder!"

Willie, 5-J was Gary Hilsen, and my father his first year in J. After that dad was 65J for years but mostly ran 3-J on his boats because he didn't like his number. 50-J was Wormy's first number.
