You are correct on Howard Sherman and Walter Beale......

    19-B, some guy named Castagneto
    91-B, Stan Armstrong
    96-B, Alex Benoit
Add 61-B Bob Hill, all DSR Drivers

90-B, a young DSH Driver named Jack Neely. The next SSOA Newletter has a brief bio of Jack and a photo from Lowell 1963, the day before he and Racer took to the sky at the starting line of DSH.

    Ricky Weinstein was also 90-B.

No shine no mo was on the 2-B Broccoli.

Wasn't 61-B Larry Honeyman or Bob Goller?
No Shine No Mo -Racer- ready for a comeback? The boat, not the old man!
        44-B Peter Crowley?
        Musky Poulin? 16-B before Billy?
& of course, the face of Region 1.........SATAN.....6-B
        John Runne
        2-Z

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.

True parity is one motor per class.

Stan Armstrong!! I was trying for that and couldn't come up with it. The boats were all painted turquoise though.

"Crosstown Traffic" was Jakie Allen and the White Whale was my father's.

How about "The Nebulous Crab"? Wasn't there a boat with that name?
And moving on to Connecticut: 5-D, 9-D and 159-D??? I know....

I'm a little cloudy on that one.

I believe that was one of Craig Bowman's boat he ran 20 cu inch Hot rod on it,
                Circa 1978.

For the older people, remember the Starkist Tuna commercials?
                "Sorry Charlie"
When Tom Moulder got his new Bezoat Hydro around 1980 that name was on it.
Any of you guys know why that is so funny?

Just to go back to the New Jersey racers who some of the more mature people would remember. How about numbers for:
                  Dick O'dea
                  Kenny Winters
John Schedel and his brother-in-law John Kennedy III

Also Jim Tomlinson was 9-B in his "B" utility The Hungry Eye.
I also had 80-B along with 90-B when I first started

Who was the 1D utility in 1957? Who was the first South Shore Outboard Association National Champion and what class? Hopoefully, some of the old timers will remember.

                        Sincerely,

                          Numbers..............Connecticut.

9-D was Don Biondi. I think he still holds that number? 27-D was the high flying Doug Cohee. Can't remember Skip Berberis's number or my boatbuilder John Yale's. Also Don Brungies Connecticut number has to be in the mix. How about Dick Fickett's numbers for he and Micky??

Wow................talk about going back in a time capsule!!
