How about sweet Abby breaking her arm in a wreck at Moses Lake and wrapping it up in a trash bag and racing a few weeks later!! Uncle Bobby must have taught her that trick!!
I have to get on Brandon Thirlby's bandwagon. It is amazing to watch him switch back-and-forth from Pro 1100 Capsule hydro to 250 laydown runabout. And win with both.
Gotta go with my teammates, Dylan Runne and Lil' Bobby Nuccio, they really drove their butts off this year. I also have to give credit to Joel Kiddy and James Luce, not looking foward to them moving up sometime soon! Great driving to all of the 'Young Guns'. Bennett Boats Driver 18
Wow, some great young racers across the country. I'm sure we will be talking about some of these individuals in 30 years+ as great old (mature) racers also. But in my mind their is one young gun who presently stands above the rest because of what he has already accomplished (about 12 national championships and as many high point championships) against the more mature racers...what PRO boat hasn't he raced fast???...and that is Brandon Thirlby. And in his spare time he races cars or is it the other way around?
Late Model....or anything else he can get into....I tell him all the time if someone put an engine on a pile of sh*t he would drive it.....Brandon is a stud and a humble one at that....sure will miss him in the first turn this year in 125H

See you in Detroit Brandon
Jim & the boys
WOW, what kind words comming from a man who is a multi-multi National Champion and National High-Point Champion in his own right. And definitely should be at the top of the "Top 10 Old Racers who will kick your butt" list! The whole Nilsen family is not only amazing boat racers but are great people too. As far as "what PRO boat hasn't he raced fast???..." There is one thing I have yet to try....The Antique's.....If for some reason you ever decide to hang up the ole' life jacket for good, I better at least get an interview for the job! I've bugged my Grandpa about it the last couple of years but he tells me that "Guys like Thornhill, Malhiot and Nilsen will blow our old equipment outta the water" Maybe one day I'll get a ride! (Are the boys going to make it to Detroit?)
BTW: Kristi, Amy won’t be old enough to participate in the 08' 125ccH World Championships, so we may still have some more racing to do!
Attached is a picture of my Dirt Late Model that I race, this was taken at the Dirt Track World Championships in Chillicothe, Ohio!
You must be getting bored up there with all the cold weather....nothing to race this time of year....?
Chris
