I may have been lucky, but I clicked a couple times and had a form with the figures right in front of me. Total time spent....around twenty seconds. I 'have' had some difficulties on other missions, however.
Alex, I’m not sure that those are true statements, maybe your opinion, but not necessarily accurate. You see most people try and only speak for themselves and not for others. So when they make a statement of, I have no problem with it. that’s what they mean, they don’t. I’m pretty sure most understand the burden it is on some. While I personally have said I don’t have a problem with it, that also meant I didn’t have a problem when I was paying for 4 kids to race. I was very familiar with paying $300.00 plus entry fees every weekend. Sometimes as much as $500.00 for a weekend. I certainly understand that it’s a hardship for some of our fellow racers. It's not cheap to race and we have to understnad that.
I pushed for tiered entry fee system in our club, but was told the club could not afford it. I get that also they can’t lose money.
The state of Washington is doing it…the more classes you race the cheaper each entry gets. But they seem to be the only area that is not struggling for entries.
So while I agree with what you’re saying, that it’s expensive for multiple member families. Don’t assume we all don’t understand that.
And while I think you’re kidding with the idle threats of, “I’ll find yer freaking driveways”…probably in today world, that might be something that you might want to stop. Maybe now you will understand why some hide under fake names and don’t put their city & state on.
"Ask anyone, I have no friends. I do have some people that put up with me and mostly because they like the rest of my family"
My 1 cent. Can't affort the 2 cent usually charged. The first year of APBA dues should be free. But the new guy has to pay club fees and entry frees. This way the club's do not loose the new guys. Hope we get a lot of new guys. A new guy, to qualify, must not have raced in last three years or is a real new guy not raced at all. Maybe we can get back some of the old racers?. APBA will not loose because of the new guy or return guy will not sign up for APBA because of cost. But after the year these two guys sign up for next year. APBA Wins, club wins for two years. New guys or old new guys get APBA membership card. They will not get propeller, Darn it, or be able to vote. Insurance yes. If they get hurt you will not have them for the rest of year or next year. They will be paying hospital bill and can't afford to race. They also have to volunteer for patrol boat at least two times on race day. Club wins. It does have a limit. If they race more then one class or have two kids running, I think they have to pay for the second class and second kid or maybe a discount for the newbe two bees. The two bees sound like they may have the 2 cents usually charged. Now that I am a 1 cent guy and not a 2 cent guy, you can only get half the usually comments space.
Pulled up the form on APBA's website under the the resources/forms menu.
Thanks for the help GarE and Mark.
Yes, I found it in moments after going to the "resources" page.
Maybe I'm A.F.U. But I clicked the red link at the top of the page that read "join APBA". It appears that's where I was led to the confusing and very unhelpful pages I complained about. Shouldn't the link titled "join APBA" have all the information I would need? Perhaps the link should have directed me to the documents I needed in the "resources" page.
Either way, thanks again for the help guys. I will relay this cost info to my buddy in Ecuador.

Jeff:
Talk or send an message to Dan Weiner with APBA. Perhaps he can assist if not to busy with other pressing matters, or maybe all the new dues are budgeted for Crowne. If so it should make the top of the list of things to do.
