  • What your true cost of APBA membership

Not only are current leaders spending thousand of your dollars on "special projects" that they claim will save and grow the memebrship but they have quietly raised your membership cost.
After a nearly a year of having to print the wonderfull 4 color propeller electronic publication they have pushed the cost of the publication on to the membership, You now pay for the Paper and ink!
2 black ink cartrages and 1 color ink cartrage used to print the publication the cost added up to $75.98.
If you add in the cost of now having to print your own race circulars and the propeller on your paper basically your membership cost is up $100.00 a year no matter what level of membership you chose!
Add in the cost they raised the membership $25.00 to cover the social media/computer upgrade and it comes to a modest $125.00!
Oboy the story just get's better every time you anylize this great NEW APBA movement to the social media movement!
Yes they saved $35,000 buy not producing the PROPELLER MAGAZINE each month but it was simply passed on to the membership unless you were smart enought to not waste your $$ printing it.

Enjoy the ride and hang onto your wallet!

I must say $225 is rich when compared to the other two groups and if you belong to all three it gets spendy..

I would have to say our membership isnt that expencive at all. I have paid $2,000.00 ( only 6 tournements ) just for my sons summer lacrosse $300 for indoor winter lacrosse ( 8 games ) and we still have to pay for gas/hotels and food. $600 for Spring football camp Plus airline tickets. So for $225 to race stock/mod or pro for the season. pretty cheap

But compared each Tournement lasts longer than 12 laps per weekend and when our daughter wanted to do something like that we made her come up with half and spending money..

See for me... $225 for 12 laps. PLUS seeing all the people every other weekend that I have met over the years. I honestly cant complain about the cost.

I just thought every time Howard post something like this I will respond with another question that make very little sense.

You see, the cool-aid I drank as a youngster has really made me quite unbalanced.

Trying to compare one organization to another organization in the way many of you do, is not a fair comparison. It’s like comparing the NFL to Arena Football, same sport but quite a bit of differences.

Remember before you blast me, this is not about the political side of things (ie; to many rules…) this is in regards to the running of the organization and the size of it.

Your correct Don. NBRA is really more like NFL. We have corporate sponsors and most importantly get paid to race at every event. APBA stock is more like arena football, where you hope some day to be getting paid to race but, your willing to foot your own bills for most everything so that you can do what you like to do (race). Spot on analogy.
