I want to share a story that happened between the time this thread/poll was created and today, which is to say that it was sometime in the 2011 racing season.

Brian and Katie were weighing her ASH at a racesite and trying to determine how much weight they needed to add to her boat to be legal. As I walked by, the boat was on the scale, Katie was in the cockpit pit with her gear, and Brian was handing her various weights and checking the readout. I paused, asked rhetorically what they were doing, and Brian looked up and said, "Trying to make minimum weight." I couldn't resist and spouted off, "Well, if she had a RING on her finger maybe that would help!" Katie immediately started giggling and covered her mouth. Brian very slowly looked up at me and said, "I sure hope you don't break any equipment this weekend..."

I share this story only because I think other racers might enjoy it as much as I did. I am truly glad to hear the good news and extend a hearty congratulations to Brian, Katie and Ashton! Anyone who has seen this racing family together knows how happy they are, and only worries that too much talent might now be corralled in one trailer.

No worry brian we will take up donations to get you guys on the plane.. The wedding chapels out there stream live on the net... All your racing pals can watch via the net... Vegas is the only place to get married...

Some years back, when she was young, I got a new boat and Named it 'Donna's Diamond', she was ok with that, but I think she really wanted a pearl...Sold the boat to my friend and he distoryed it in no time..good thing it was not me.
