suprizer, get both :-) but if you have to scrimp on one or the other, it better be the ring. after all its only an engagement ring. She is not going to be happy if the new boat isnt better than the old one

            Brian,
Your smiling all the time and so is Katie. Your mom is always smiling so I'm going to assume it's about the two of you. Buy her a ring - her B & H is already smokin fast.

If it was a boat for me or a ring for me I would say boat. (Although it would have to be some kind of techie equipment since I am technical support or a new horse).

If it is a matter of an engagement ring for her or a boat for him, we'd better know a lot more about her first. Is she a racer? Does she attend races if not a racer?

I would always go for the practical and that would be boat even if it was for BlueSkyRacer. He deserves it and boat racing (although I don't "race") is something that we do together and that means a whole lot more than jewelry. My next statement would be get the best of everything you can afford because if boat racing is worth doing it is worth doing well!

Its not between a boat for him and a ring for me. He is already building himself a boat but he wants to build me one or buy me one too. I love my current boat. I am attached to my boat. I really do not want a new boat.

The ring thing is all a joke on his part. But I'll throw my opinion in.
The ring to me is marrying the man I love and spending the rest of our lives together, oh and adding another J driver to the team in the future. I would choose that over a new boat any day. So me being the woman this thread is about, votes ring.

I'm sure I can mess that vote up real fast with duckbill bribes.

Katie, sorry the boat is winning but gee, isn't this a boat racing site. I voted for the ring and hopefully the vote wont mean much to the big picture. This has been fun!

Exactly!! You get it! Yes very much... because Its not that I don't want a new Pavlick Hydro that could potentially make me one of the fastest boats in the country.

I didn't know he was posting it so I came across it by surprise. I am laughing at all the responses though. The vote won't matter, Its more of a haha in your face type thing. Which sucks for me since the boat is winning. Brian is always right.

As Katie sits here counting and waiting she look dejected that it is 16-20 for the boat. I have not voted yet. Oh and I will. But for now be sure to vote.

Katie had a great idea....this is how I know she is a racer. She said how about you buy me the ring and we register at the Pavlick boat works..... After I got done laughing I said I will look into that.

Does Pavlick have a wedding registry service?
