Wow, what a weekend!

We have made it home from our last New England trip of the year. Only 645 miles today but so worth it!
Christine is warming up my first bowl of "chowda" that we brought home from Legal Seafoods as I type. We are doing exactly as Billy Allen said, "eat it as soon as you get there"!
Many thank you's to all from SSOA in attendance for your warm hospitality and friendship. We will never forget this summer.
If it wasn't for the prodding by Steve Noury, Lowell Hanson & Rock Van Buren to come and the open home of Alan and Sharon Akerstrom (Shar Shar's bed and breakfast), many of our trips would not have been possible.
Hopefully, Wicked Sister will post some of her pics also. Our camera has died after way over 5000 pics this summer. Many of Christine's pictures did not come out I am sad to say. I will post as many as possible from last night that were not too blurry.
Looks like we need a new camera for our shutterbug for next season.

Attached are pics of the most incredible display of trophies we have ever seen. The amazing saddle award, my first meeting with the legend Larry Castagneto and the equally amazing Main racing team.

Ohhh, this Chawda is sooo good!!!

The new 'princess' of Brewster Racing made her first long distance racing trip. This is all that was left after this weekend on the way home. Our "Rosie" will have to toughen up to be able to keep up with us next year.

SSOA BANGquet

This certainly was one great banquet! Some of the nicest trophies I've seen. And lots of well deserved recognition to club members and families. The Long Haul award surely goes to the Brewster Bunch 58S from the coal pits of Ravena Ohio, and the Highest Risk award belongs to the cruise missle 17N (DSH Givinsky) out of Riverhead LonnnguyLand for making it thru the Cross-Bronx and the combat zone unscathed for the excellent food.

Hope you all have a nice TG dinner. And.... while yer piggin out on all that stuff think about Xmas......... yeh... think about how good a nice new TOHATSU M50D2 from Bass Machines would look sitting there next to that tree. Let me know, I'll see that you get one (MC / Visa accepted ).

Please excuse my exhausted husband. I just caught that he "re-nicknamed" you. I know we know it, because I was with the group that gave Billy the labels from a winery in NY. Yummy wine called "TWISTED SISTER"! You are by no means wicked,, well all of us women can be when we want to right! I speak for myself on that one!

It was great to share the sticky floor with you taking pictures. Not really sure if that was left over of the last party, or to keep people that were to dance there from falling over the metal railing into the "mosh" pit.

Wow another sucessful season ends in Mew England. SSOA functions are always eventful. Congrats to all award winners.Especially to Young Mr.

Schmidt!! As I am a mutli time winner of "The Saddle", I hope you feel as honored as I was each time I won it! Look at all of the names, its full

of National Champions! Now this is showing how old I am but, I know everyone that won it is the last century!!! How bout the history of the

saddle?? I am led to believe it started In 1963. The story I am told goes something like this. At the finish line DSH 1963 Nationals, Boston,Mass,

Race winner, Larry Castegneto waves to his Mom at the finish line, AND then flips!!! The award was presented to him at that year's banquet. Thats

how I HEARD IT. I would love to hear the real story from Larry. Great pics! Um Laurie, they have these interesting devices for cameras. They're called FLASH UNITS!!! hahah Heck we've even got em here in Maine!! Let me know I'll get you one!
