Good eye, Cooper! Yes, the white 21-V is a Kid Kraft, and was my second boat. The red, white, and blue 21-V (which became blue and white) was my first boat; a B&H.

        Bill:

You usually faultless memory has a slight glitch. The red, white, and blue boat came from central Illinois with my KG-4 (also in the photos). If my (terrible) memory serves, we bought the Kid Kraft from Mr. 33-W.

I think that is Mike Crawford. Last I heard of him he was into R/C racing and building some very top notch R/C boats.

Indeed! That is Mike Crawford in the 33W runabout. I lost track of Mike and Holly back in the mid-80s. Hope they're doing well!

I love seeing the ole Gentex lifejackets. We use to have a lady in New England that re-covered them. Mrs. Ginack.

Is that a Hemp boat in the background getting on plane?? Cool shots.

                  Hi Matt,

Ginack - yep. I still have my Gentex that was recovered by her in my basement.

I think that was Dennis Berken in the Hemp boat.

It is Gignac... He olderst son was Gerry (BU) and youngest Jay (JSR,ASR....Inboards).
I still think the styling of those lifejackets were the best ever! I had one too! I never got injured wearing one of those "ballistic" covered Gentex jackets! Statistically the best.....

I haven't see or heard from them since back when Hawkeye Stock was an APBA midwest club. I was just a young kid back then running ASH. Mike and Holly were always good people to be around. I messed with R/C boats for a short time and people was always talking about this Mike Crawford guy that build some fast boats. I bought a used boat he had built and not only was it fast it was built with great craftsmanship.
