    Dennis Berken will be in Bristol for the NASCAR race. I can assure you that he was planning on attending otherwise.

      [QUOTE=Chip Trampe;226197]We came up with a short list of people we haven't seen in sometime: Becherini, Berken, Cartwright, Czaplewski, Hedlund, Helm, Hrovatin, Jenkins, Julien, Keepman, Klotz, LaBanco, Lovelace, Mersberger, Pergande, Puestow, Rama, Roloff, Schaub, Stippich, Talbot, Weinandt, Walters, Wilson, and lots more.

      Hey Chip,

      The Schaub Family will be there, and it just might be the whole crew! Looking forward to seeing you again, it's been too long.

              I would like to make this one. There are just not enough days to play.

              Memories of Neosho;

              Saturday morning pancake breakfast
              Cool Carnival
              Turkey dinner at the school
              Pabst trophy race
              Free Pabst beer t-shirts
              Nate Walter's trophy
              Tom Schlute trophy
              Guys winning there summer supply of beer. It seemed like Henry Menzies would win 6-7 cases of beer.

              Racers I remember from Neosho;

              Ed Suhs and his son in the 222-v and 333-v, Stover Hire, Keith & Gary Stippich, Waldman, Berghauer bunch, Jon Ramma and the lil quack, Dave Young, Bill Burns, Wil Pergande, Dick Cordule, Bill Janz, Ed Rovatin, Hussel Russel, Doc Wilson, Hedlunds, Dick Lovelace, Charlie Erdman, Ron Thomas,
              Zolkoske clan, Ron Hill, Lee Sutter, Schaub's, Jim Komorowski, Gary, Todd & Linda Walters, Phil Schwab, Dan Evans first race, man I can keep going.

              It was THE Badger State race.

              Kudos to Rachel for pulling it off. Hopefully this will be a new run of 20+ years.

                Possible Alumni

                While traveling back home we pulled in to a hotel in Ill. and met a guy in parking lot. I was wearing one of those shirts that make you look like your a walking billboard. Any hoot, said his name was Frasier and ran with club years back. Spends winters in Florida but has summer home in Hustisford Wis. Stated his last race was Nationals in beloit. He said he would be a Neosho. I think he said he ran A & B stuff. Anyone remember this guy?

                    My brother Chris and I ran our last race in Wisconsin at Neosho in 1959, before moving out to California. Chris ran ASH with a Pabst, and I ran AU with a Stippich. I wish we had made plans to join the mini-reunion that seems to be forming, maybe next time.
                    A driver from Ohio, Dave Thomas, came to Neosho in '58 and '59, running CSH and maybe DSH, with Baycraft boats,I think. Us 'newbies' were very impressed. Later on I developed the theory that this may be the same person that started the Wendys chain.
                    Does anybody remember Dave Thomas?

                      Steve, I remember Dave as we competed against each other at the Beaver Falls, PA nationals, I think 1963(?), in DSH. He had a Coutts hydro & beat me. I believe that he finished 2nd or 3rd, I finished 5th.Many years later I thought the same thing about Wendy's.

                          Larry,
                          That was probably Mike Frazier. Good guy, who hung out and raced with Sam LaBanco, Jake Shallcross, Gravesen, and Pittmans. He used to race a 15 Hot Rod.

                          They recently bought a 302 and a boat kit. Hopefully, we will see Frazier or Shallcross' son on the water this year.

                                Yeah, something else plus memory. I thought that was the sequence John, but didn't feel like going down to my trophy area relegated to my workshop to check the dates on the respected trophies
