How about the 175 class? Since RB Hydro was always run at the Title Series races and 175 is the replacement for RB why is it not being run? Not enough equipment out there yet? Just curious.

      USTS Classes

RB hydro has not been run by the Series in a long time. The rising popularity of 125 hydro and a lack on entires in RB hydro resulted in 125 being added to the schedule and RB disappearing.

With regards to 175cc hydro, the USTS considered adding the class to its schedule. But the decision was made not to increase the schedule of classes in 2006. Our entries have been good at races over the past 2 years. Moreover, we try to keep the show manageable to 3-4 hours of racing.

I imagine that 175 will be considered again as a potential class for the USTS. But for now, the USTS classes are set for the 2006 season.

So we will be racing 700, along with the 500 and 1100?

We are running 700H at Depue but the info I had was that you weren't because the "B" driver needed some seat time!

                      Chris,

Now that the new Thirlby automotive capsule boat is race ready, you can probably convince Ed to campaign 2 500's, 2 700's and 2 1100's. Deke might have something to say about the additional maintenance, but you can bribe him with 12 pack of Miller Geniune.

                          Inverness Race 2 Weeks Away

                          Only 2 Weeks Until Inverness

The US Title Series will open the 2006 racing season in 2 weeks at Inverness, Florida (March 31 – April 2). This new race site for the USTS is located at Liberty Park in the heart of town on Lake Henderson. The town of Inverness is located about 40 miles north of Tampa and to the west of I-75. Friday will feature a day of testing, as drivers and crews clean-out the winter gremlins and familiarize themselves with a new racing venue. Capsule testing will be conducted Friday for those drivers that need to renew their certifications.

The racing classes for Saturday and Sunday are as follows:

                          Saturday, April 1, 2006
                          250CCR
                          500CCR
                          K PRO H
                          125CCH
                          350CCH
                          500CCH

                          Sunday, April 2, 2006
                          125CCR
                          350CCR
                          K PRO H
                          250CCH
                          1100CCH
                          OSY-400

We expect a large turnout of capsule boats at this race with as many as 6 boats from Florida alone. Brandon Thirlby will try to keep the Thirlby Automotive Pugh hydro ahead of a growing number of 500cc and 1100 cc hydro’s. We look forward to a resurgence of participation in these exciting classes. Full fields of boats are expected in all classes and OSY400 had been added to Sunday’s schedule.

Come participate in a great weekend of racing, as the USTS kicks-off a very busy 2006 season.

                              Calling all OSY-CSH Drivers

to All OSY and CSH drivers:
OSY is scheduled for Sunday at Inverness. Lake Placid is just a hop skip and a jump away from there....So, race, test, and race some more on Saturday at Lake Placid, then pack up and head off to the big dance at Inverness.
The Lake Placid date was already set before Inverness and the club could not change it's date. So make a caravan and a party out of getting to race at two sites on the same week end. I was also told that if needed, both days of CSH racing can be done on Saturday at Lake Placid. Lots of easy chances to ac***ulate those AOF points. (Remember, you get AOF points at the USTS races also).
If other classes are interested in doing this on their off days at Inverness, let us know. All stock/mod/ and PRO classes will be run at Lake Placid.
                              Email for information.
