Made it back to the office and pushed 'donate' on helpingnic.info. fast and easy............but the word 'donate' doesn't fit. We are investing in a great guy, investing in a wonderfully knowledgeable judge and referee for the USTS, and hoping to make his life easier. This is not a donation.....it is an investment for all of us that has ever had Nic in our lives (disqualifications count). Let's all do what we can here. Everything and anything will count. Get out your BIG checkbooks and make this happen...............I also like the beer comment above. I will visit after they have been delivered and had a chance to get used to the ice in the cooler.................

When I look at all the visits to this message I'm encouraged as to the potential of Nick's mom to get the needed funds for his rehab. If you have contributed, I thanks you and I know Denise does as well, if you have not, get with it guys. This is a piece of history, your opportunity to help a fourth generation boat racer. Even though I do not know Nic, but have heard a lot of nice things from other Racers, it is nice to see this type of response. Denise I am kicking in another $50.00 and hope that others that are able may do the same.

One thing that I didn't add was that I am disabled and know what it is to depend on others. I am Blessed have made a recovery from a transplant 11 years ago. It is hard to go from Racing Boats, Motorcycles and cars to laying in a hospital for almost 4 months.....and I will tell you when you lay in a bed for 4 months you might as well be dead, but I had my Bride and Parents who loved me and nursed me back to health. This is what we have with Nic. We need to help him as much as possible. I know when I was in the hospital in Houston Texas my Family was floored at the Racing Family that came to visit me(thank God I didn't need any financial help).
OK I have put my story on the line and I Pray others understand I am just letting you know how much help is appreciated.

Old gone

Okay, the old is gone, start off new and refreshed, by donating to the help Nic fund. Just a few bucks each from all the viewsers will help him. Continued prayers for he and his family will also help.

Nic is back in Tampa General Hospital, as he's scheduled for additional surgery tomorrow at 1:00pm. His progress has been slow and unfortunately he's been having severe headaches whenever he strains. The doctor will be placing a shunt into his head to regulate the flow of spinal fluid and hopefully, this will alleviate the headaches and help with his recovery.

Nic still requires 24x7 care, so we have hired a full-time caregiver who lives with Nic. We appreciate everyone's gifts to help with his recovery. I'm not sure how much longer he will require full time care, so we continue to appreciate whatever you can do to help!
