    Oil's cheaper than parts!

In my four cylinder mercs (old or fresh) I run 8:1. This helps with power because they seal better with more oil. I don't have any plug fouling problems and have never had a lubrication related failure in many years. My 44xs still has a very nice original crank in it after 20 years of use. mike 67G

Whatever works for you go for it. I'am to old to change my habits. 16oz to 2 1/2 gals gas. Red Line Oil. Russ Hill sr and Bob Goller told me OIL,OIL,OIL. I never had a problem so why change.

I've been running 8-10 oz of synthetic oil per gallon and I've got a mess... I'm having a lot of problems with the filler blocks as well because of the oil. They just wont stay in.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most.
