Sometimes things just show up in your garage. In my case a late 1970s johnson 9.9 showed up that's in nice shape, it wouldn't have come in to have a look at all except I have a 1980s 15hp evinrude (that spent a week underwater in salt water) hanging on the wall.
Now, everything off the 15 was salvageable except the carb which wasn't drained and had the salt eat it. In fact I even ran the 15 in a bucket once or twice but was never sure I trusted it to take out on a boat.
The question is, other than the expensive gear case and a prop what all do I need to make a semi competitive 15 motor?
