45ss trim stroke
it that the measuring for the stock 45ss trim cylinder?as i know the stock 45ss trim cylinder is kinda short if compare to 60sst.anybody can tell me the trim stoke for the stock 45ss ?hope something will hope.thankc to previous both gentleman.

As I remember the original, OPTIONAL, OMC trim cylinder as pictured in the SeaWay parts had a very short stroke. I think it had just under an inch of travel or maybe up to 1 1/8 inch. Its been 23 years since we screwed around with them.
In practice this was a bit shorter than what you'd really like in most cases. And it is far better to have more travel so you are not running the cylinder max out. Without the hydraulic oil cushioning both sides of the piston, motor vibration is transfered directly to the boat. People quickly got away from the OMC design and cut a hole in the transom to use a much longer cylinder with the mounting bracket inside the transom.
