Hi there Checkmark. I am going through the same issue as you with getting my kg7 set up for a deadman throttle... I was wondering If anybody knows what controlls the spark advance in realation to throttle?
The throttle hook up that I used a dead mans throttle on my KE 7 came from Oldmercs.com. All of the hook ups for these motors that I have seen only hook up the throttle and you reached back and set the mag by hand or just locked it full advanced. I used the hand method so that it would idle better.
That is just about the answer I was lookin for Syd. That is kind of what I thought, but needed to hear that thats how its done by somebody that has done it. Ill take a pic soon and post it of an interesting setup that I came across where they used the hand throttle to attach their cable on to. And this very setup is what was confusing me.
Hey checkmark... I dont know if you have your throttle set up or not but I just finished mine and posted pics. you can check em out in a thread I posted in the "Rookie Lounge" titled "Im becoming a total Water-Head?" They line right up with the drawing Mike45 posted on here. My pics are at about the end of the thread.
