Wrong Brian - that was the west coast version of Brian Williams. If you guys keep hammering him every time he posts, you will give the east coast a bad Rep.
Ian and I are gearing up for speedo season with a new Seefood diet. I have not seen the results I was looking for but man is it easy to follow and fun!
Have a great winter and see you at Frank when the water is less hard (just as cold though).Brian 10s

Runabout Project
Troy will race CSR eventually. But I agree with Brent this discussion is for fat C runabout drivers -- not fat C hydro drivers.
The push behind this proposal is to give the 185 lb driver more control in the class. There are alot of 200 plus guys that run 25SSR and compete. That tells me being over weight in CSR is not as critical for performance as in ASR,BSR,20SSH etc... With new boat building materials and consturction methods boats can weigh a lot less than 20 years ago.

I will race at 460 or 475 or 510 if that is what the weight is.

Leave the weight where its at. I range from 180-190 pounds every summer and do not have a problem racing CSR. And, I've been doing it for quite some time.
Yes, there are new materials that can be used to build lighter, stronger boats but it is still easier and more cost effective to build a boat out of wood which is a little heavier for the light driver.Joe Silvestri
