Will they have 1/4 shear pin?

Hi Ken;

Yomato shear pin is 5mm (.190"). We have never broken one under 240hp VRP 700cc, and to my knowledge, no one has broken one.

jim,,, might be besides the point,,, but under the v-rude the small sheer pins need replaceing every heat,,,d-mod can run one sheer pin all year,,, just bin there done that,,,, would be great if bigger shaft for the 1/4 pins for the v-rude,, it a diff animal,,,, sorta like the old 850"s...

Yomato Shear Pins are 5mm, or .190". Try one; I don't know anyone that has broken these shear pins. Dudley Malone tells me he doesn't know of any broken 5mm pins under a Mod E.

Ran the Komoto gear box under my SEH , 14 heats in NBRA circuit, have not sheared a pin. Have used pins as many as 4 heats. Got the 5mm pins from Dudley (for free) Says he has 8000 more!!!!

You didn't change pins because you're too tight even when they are free!

That echoes what other racers have told me. We run them under 240hp VRP 700, and have never broken one. Drivers of Mod D and Mod E told me they haven't broken any 5mm shear pins from Yomato or Komato.

jim, bought one of the komoto's from u after listening to your sales pitch in depue. it went something like [[the best ever]] with a lota talkm bout the new skag developement. haven't put it on a motor yet due to the issues that were reported early in last season. can't afford to lose arace due to a case failure nor do i wish to take a swim. sooo, even though this is a racing thing, i would think u would stand behind this products failure and offer a return/exchange deal for a unit we can trust!! what do u think? rod,23/w
