I don't think it has anything to do with speed. The bigger faster boats are a lot larger out lay of money. In these times it just is not going to happen.
the smaller boats are not getting cheaper either lolol
dave does it come with a decent prop too ??

I ran this powerhead in Huntington IN last weekend. It competed against some top rated engines that have extensive modifications, and some top rated drivers in 850CCMH. It won back to back heats.
I did not run the gearbox and tower housing as I wanted to make sure it is prime for a buyer.
Dave, there is a LOT of very good equipment for sale - including yours - but it appears that none of it is selling. Looks like there are a lot more people getting out of boat racing than getting into boat racing.

OMC FE/SE powerhead parts for sale. Kurcz ported block, Mod 50 pistons and cylinder head, exhaust, etc.

I wish I could take that trade, but right now the money is the thing needed most.

Why not just go back to the $5000 offer and take it ... bring Mr. Mason the money and your the rest of your piggy bank?
.....if you have the cahones to go fast, this rig will keep you happy. It goes very competitively with Dave in it and Dave is a BIG guy.( nothing intended Dave ) If you are 185ish and strong enough to wrestle this out of the turns, you will be up front or,very near it.(Simple physics at work here) This class needs some new players. Most turnouts are small so you'll have ample opportunity to get used to the speed.
I will help anyone within my reach who buys this. I have extra props I can lend. It is a very economical class once you get the basics. I get complete powerheads at the local marinas for free. Believe it or not, this is a good old fart class....the rigs have power to handle rough water well.It is a great ride.
