    Dave,

Have you found the 45 gearcase to be fairly reliable in the FE? Did you need to put different gears or ratio in it? I have heard of a few of the guys that run other gearcases have failures or need to rebuild more than once per year at a significant cost and they are looking at options.

The new one McKean has looks good too but they want data first with the failure rate of the older version.

    Thanks!

        Sure Does

Thanks Charlie !! There you go Alex, I can do a CC I believe.

Howie, I found the stock version of the SST45 gearcase is not made for a hydro (the way we run hydros currently). However, after modifications to shave off some shape and take away lift, and extend the skeg it a very good handling gearcase. Durability wise I have never heard of someone blowing it up under an FEH. Not saying it can't happen, but it is much more durable than the Yamato Hatchet unit of a few years ago. I used to put new gears in that thing twice a year or more. Long story short, the 45 gearcase handles fine once modified for hydros we race. One key note, these are no longer built by SeaWay Marine, but parts are available through several sources. I believe Ron Hill is working on building these for the masses, I am not sure.

you can set up a sales account with PayPal too it takes a few days so then you could receive money for a sale only problem is when you take visa it cost you a fee you have to pay a percentage to PayPal as well only when you make a sale!

at best you can contact the folks at PayPal and get all the info you need to set it up

if that's what you wish to do

            hope this helps

Dave, it doesn't look like there are many people out there that want to go over 90 mph. There is a quite a bit of Super E / Formula E / 850 CC (whatever you want to cal it!) equipment for sale but not many people buying anything apparently.
                ...

OMC FE/SE powerhead parts for sale. Kurcz ported block, Mod 50 pistons and cylinder head, exhaust, etc.

I don't think it has anything to do with speed. The bigger faster boats are a lot larger out lay of money. In these times it just is not going to happen.

Nah.... The A, B, and especially the Tomater drivers are skeered!

Most of the 44 drivers are smart enough not to get a motor that weighs as much as they do.
                    (I plead temporary insanity!)

David....Giving thought to yer FE hull/rig for C-MOD/Merc Wizard.....

After plane? ....... I know weight is lite and should be a safe stable ride especially at C-MOD speeds....Just try'n to justify price.....I realize Matt quoted me a price a few years back when Military use caused a price spike in carbon fiber, and as Matt called it ........"the devalued lousy American dollar to the Canadian Looney" .....that resulted in a price quote that was about $1300 more than the price you sent for a new rig and I believe yours has never been run....(Heck a "Mold" boat like mine soared to over $4K before he quit build'n).....I'm git'n a LOT of heat on the home front for even considering git'n back in a ride after my last tumble in 09...have'n said that,...You probably will see me solo at any race.

                      Werk'n on it.

You may still have your hearing but it is only because of all the water in the ears protecting them when you are back stroking Funny you should mention hearing. I just bought a 100 pack of ear plugs last Saturday!

                            Steve,

I don't think this hull would make a very good CMH boat. It would certainly be a safe ride, but I don't think it would be ideal by any means. It handles the 44 just fine and is real competitive with a 44 on it, Dad won in Lockhaven with it as basically a virgin hull. I then swapped to the FE engine on it and the rest is history, it has won a lot of races.

With you in the FEH it would run just fine, and is actually a bit smoother ride than your 25Mod stuff. You can always set it up fairly conservative if you want to, but I think once you grab a handfull the torque alone is gonna beg for more.

                              Sorry

                              Steve,

David L6 pointed out you were asking about his hull for your CMH. I thought you were referring to the one for sale in this thread.
DavidL6 can answer those questions for you. I don't know the specifics on his hull.
