      Yes

1500Lb. lift bag attached to the bow eye raised ole #71. Sure would like to know why the foamed bow didnt keep it floating and why the rescue boat did not pull it when it was on a rope and nose high....Not enough HP?
I know what has worked in the past, a large tow boat. Thank you guys who helped Steve get her trailered and home.

They were all ready to tow it when a piece of fiberglass blew out and she went down like a whale with a blow hole. Definately not enough flotation.

Partly correct. NO fiberglass failure was observed upon salvage opp. I heard this alot at the race but after talking to Steve seconds ago the trapped bow air escaped through a loose bow eye NOT broken boat fiberglass. That ubolt thingie that holds the boat onto the trailer didnt seal air under pressure. There is a stress crack where the 2 piece hull and deck are glassed together.. this crack only lengthened after the roll over. Simple fix and most of our boats have experienced this even before racing them.

You are right that the floatation was inadequate. The required inner tube was under inflated and the foam wasnt enough. So, he had both,. and now wont make that mistake again.

I just wanted to say how cool it was to see some of the Flat Bottom heats so close and lots of deck to deck racing! The one that comes to my mind is Levi and Mike what a battle to the finish and Mike didn't get Levi by much. I was doing the scoring and had a great view of the finish line.

Also great job announcing on the PA Boyd it is nice when you get some background on the boats and drivers.

            Thanks for a great show

              Right

Good competiton breeds better competition, I think. We need to thank Mr. Jimmie for supplying such a fast boat to Levi and his driving skills were quite evident as usual. Remember he won this class for 2 years. I also loved the action. Did anyone notice the number of spectators Saturday? Winona should be quite happy to see a crowd so late in the season.

And let's not forget you and all the volunteers that made this year long racing happen! I hear registration is very very good and quick.

Did you get a flat ride yet? Maybe Ill try the Coger race sometime.....but who would want to see a jerk lean his belly overboard? Ugly
