Tried 468, started with three boats, only one was left.

SK had 2 boats so the final they combined the two

SKI Boat had three on Saturday and one towed from Seattle on Sunday to make 4! This class is having all the fun! I really enjoyed driving beside three almost perfect strangers, they put on one awesum performance. Some one has video I heard! All 4 did the Indian Blanket thing! No smoke however

Great Rick and LinLin! I'm buying dinner at least! Sure makes my Thursday morn to see this, I worked on the boat till 2am and now will try to pack! I am running behind schedule, as usual, but am quite anxious to see how everybody runs. I had the opportunity to help two of our racers with gear changes and was able to show off my 'short cut' procedure. I also changed gears for Moses to get my engine rrrrrs down. (went from 9% to 15% since I loaned out my 12s we ran in Burley) I dont want to push my luck on my home made horsepower, which is slightly above the tow vehicles! Hydro folks can simply change props but I only have 2 worth about 600-700 new! Gears cost around $200!

I'll be in a Motel Thursday and Friday but staying with Robins folks in their RV the rest. I missed this event last year due to Sadies Go Kart race and she has one this weekend also, butttttttttt, cheerleading practice interfered so I"M racin, sorta.

I hope Marc can make it, dang economy!

                      Again in one week

After labor day weekend is Waites again. This year it is 11-12 I think. Be there with the KaRuzer. Should be he largest number of flats for 2010. Dont miss it!

Karuzer had a bad valve, but 14 flats made up for that disappointment! Mike Todd won the fast class, I think Doc was second.
Rich Bealabrator won SK with a FORD and only a tick slower in my opinion, than the fast class. Dave Weber should of been 2nd and both put on quite a driving exhibition! Dave also ran the 'Codger' hydroplane event and didnt get wet! Amazing!
Ski class won by Ror, and the new Novice Flat class provided lots of interest due to teenagers controlling lots of horsepower and fast ski boats! Secret for success must have been the compitant driver in the pace boat named Levi Weber. He served triple duty by driving 3 different boats and ran up front in every heat until mechanical problems hit in the final.

5 boat side by side action saw veteran Steve C. misjudge a turn and rolled his record holding Hondo in the first turn! The required floatation failed and the boat spent the night in 60 feet of mud & fish infested h2o. He was uninjured but quite sore and will be nursing muscle aches for weeks, as was the case after my unexpected swim in 2005. However, everyone of us who flipped have become better safer drivers. Possibly, more test time in this refurbished boat would have helped. AND a better lane draw would have been nice also. Lane 5 was not the place to be competitive this weekend.

Sure glad to see all the new-old racers show on this our 10th anniversary of Nostalgia Flats! That large bunch of spectators was so refreshing to see as the Winona Resort had to park cars in the beautiful grass!

Nov 13 is Banquet time, see you there!
